It's good to see you spinning (real) vinyl again!!! I agree that setting it all up can be a nightmare, but then it's an absolute paradise! And, believe it or not, although I've got two Denon "CDJs" and a DVS system, I still use real vinyl most of the time. Thanks for this video, it will help new people to dive into the vinyl dimension. By the way, in France I see more and more DJs playing real vinyl. That's amazing.

I've tried various slipmats and finally made two slipmats from my spine x-ray sheets 😊

A cheap tip for better sound is to buy a cork placemat (1 or 2mm, check Ikea or other), and cut it round with the help of a LP and put it under the slipmat. (When not mixing, replace the slipmat with a 180mm LP instead under your LP for even better sound.) I also put 1mm cork under the M44-7, and made 1mm "gasket"between arm and headshell. I know it sounds stupid but it works. Dont forget to level up the arm so it´s horisontal.

Nothing compares in terms of over engineered build quality. But any of the ‘Super OEMs’ get the job done, for example the pioneer 1000s
