Thank you for this tutorial, this was very fun to follow along. Perfect lengths to end it all. For the folks having trouble with the 4 wire wrap, it does take a bit of practice keeping the tension on them. I've made three so far and I keep improving every time. Maybe practice on some scrap wire before starting the project would help. Keep trying.

I tried one of these and had trouble keeping the same tension wrappng the 4 wires so it does not look as straght as yours. You make is look so easy. I assume it takes practice to get the tension even all the way down.

I have no idea why when I tried to make the same design with the same measures my base wires came shorter at the end that I had to find a solution. I wish I could show you the result

Were they the same gauge? If you change the gauge even by one size it will alter the lengths needed. The only other explanation (usually) is that the weaves or coils aren't compressed tightly enough and are spreading out over the base wires, eating up a bit length as well.
