This type of weave looks simple. I have seen other tutorials for weaving and they look kind of complicated. I think I will try it and see! Thanks, they are quite beautiful.

They kind of remind me of little guitars. I like you double mandrel technique for ear wires. I like making mine a pair at a time as well. Then they are identical.

Ur work and tutorials are awesome. Thank you for making it look like I can actually do this....lol. Can you make a necklace piece where you make a bale out of one wire and a heart of of the top remaining wires all wires wrapped around a stone or bead?? I can't find a tutorial on this type of look no where.

I definitely would love to invest in the brand you have. I guess I should have spent the money on those instead of so many Cabs/Beads & Wire first! I do have a pair of Wubbers Bail Makers. The book I have gets into chain making and prefers I have a 1 1/2 in Tined Round Nose. Then describes how to mark it in 1/4 in sections. I'm scouring the net right now looking for them. But can you maybe send a pic of the Needle Nose Pliers you have? Well, never mind. I'll just look them up on the Swanstrom site. Actually I think I have a pair by Beadalon or BeadSmith? Are the short , pointed & rounded on the outside and flat on the inside? I apologize for all the questions! But I love what you can produce with just that set!! Very impressed! I've bought so many tools based on different classes & video suggestions. Then have returned them trying to upgrade to better quality . I love working with Copper and brass so far, and am working my way up to sterling silver filled for the moment. Are you mainly working with Dead soft wires? Or do you use a mix of half hard and soft for your creations? Thanks again for all your help!! Have a magical day!🌞

So do I need TWO spools of 28g weaving wire then? I didn't hear you instruct to cut the weaving wire after the first step of coiling the 3 base wires 🤔

Hi! I found your channel only a week ago and had to get myself some wire straight away since i got hooked on your art from the first second! I will definately give it a try! I have one question though and I would be very tahnkful if you could give me an answer on this. So i got me some copper wire which looks like yours based on the colour. But now that i have it I am wondering if this stuff will get verdigris or some other corrosion during the years. I figured since it will be worn on the skin it must do so right? Have you had any experience with this and if so what are you doing to prevent it? I really like your art it looks so amazing, blows my mind!

Go Art Yourself I do the same sort of thing. I've been learning and teaching myself how to sculpt in wire, I've just got the issue of getting my coils and wraps to stay tight on my working. But I'm still practicing and teaching myself with what''s out there. All these video's are great though and they do help quite a bit.

hello. i want you to know when i decided to start wire wrappin you have one of only two channels i subscribed to for guidance. as i am sure you are pretty busy in your life; if you can find time id like to ask a few questions about the retail value and how you go about pricing your pieces. thank you for sharing your experience in this craft and i hope to hear from you soon.

Do you feel it's better to use something like tool magic while readjusting these weaves, so that marking up the wire is minimized? Especially by beginner wire weavers?
@GoArtYourself
@GoArtYourself 7 жыл бұрын
Tool magic is a great thing for beginners, for sure. Though I admit I just mangled most of my wires when I was starting and learned to adjust my grip as needed. lol. Lots of wasted wire, but messing up is an under-rated way to learn, I think :D

Go Art Yourself Thank You for your quick response ! I do agree with you about trial and error. I guess I'm worried about more advanced work Bc I don't have the highest quality tools that I'd like to have at this point. They aren't bottom line tools, but am working up to getting the better ones. Actually , I have a book I'm working from and it calls for a long tined round nose plier , about 1 1/2 inch long end. Do you use one of those? And if so, do you have a suggestion for which company to purchase from with a budget of $25-$30? Thank you so much. You make these seem totally possible to do when they look entirely too complicated!! Lol
@GoArtYourself
@GoArtYourself 7 жыл бұрын
I've never really purchased tools for specific purposes. I have a set of Swanstrom pliers. Just a pair of needle nose, round nose and flat nose, and their wire cutters. That's all I've ever used (save for inexpensive sets from the craft store). I'm afraid I can't be of much help there. Wubbers seem to be a trusted mid-range maker, but I don't really know much about their round nose options.
