Just suffer through turf war till you unlock anarchy. Its a ranked mode so it will place you with players the same rank as you. Matchmaking still isnt great like they might match you with a team that has loads of paint and pressure and yiur team does not but most of the time it's alright :)

I like when people support and/or spare the noobs because honestly it is a little unfair to pit them against experienced players from the start. They don't know how to play yet. Let them figure it out, because as someone who's first splatoon game was 3, I can tell you it's really hard to learn how a game works when everyone around you keeps bullying you and not letting you move without being splatted And some of us struggle to learn via reading, so we have to learn via experience.

I was in a match with a new player. I could tell it was his first match since his gamer tag was at the default. His play style also showed that he wasn’t used to playing the game. I decided to not try at all for the match and even let him kill me so his first match could be a win (it was a turf war match, so my team didn’t lose rank points or anything, if it was ranked I wouldn’t have been easy on him since my rank is suffering)

I don't register the kind of badges people have. I stopped paying attention less than a week after getting the game. Im lucky to notice what titles people have. Also the default splashtag means only that they just started the game and says nothing of their true experience. I learned that not every "new player" equals inexperienced player, nor does it mean the player is a little kid. Every once in awhile its very obvious, but i notice way more "oh they must be talking to each other (suspiciously coordinated), or teamed up with people/friends on discord (coordinated and/or similar, related names) than actual new players.

I just started playing Splatoon 1 for the first time a few days ago, and during my first few matches I was a Level 1 with a Junior and starter gear while everyone else was Level 50. XD Granted, I wasn't ACTUALLY a noob because I've been playing 2 and later 3 since 2019, and I did indeed destroy the other team in these matches with a heckin' junior, but still, I LOOKED like a noob lol.
