Tbh I can do the single thread weave on my regular loom just as well. And that has no tension issues for it doesn’t work with a metal rod that can bend but with slits in solid wood. The distance is not variable as on your loom, yet I often make patterns which are over a meter long and that isn’t possible on yours. The long tails on either side I use to stitch the work onto fabric. And when one strand breaks my products won,t immediately fall apart. I can see some upsides for your loom, but I think my old one is just a bit more versatile.

If you love your loom thats great 😊 The main difference is all those end threads in a trad loom are off putting and a pain to deal with. You can reinforce well with just one thread and you actually can extend the length to well over a meter (instructions on our DVD video) and the ergonomic design means you can sit to it and not have to bend over the work 😊 i have been using this loom for years now and i love it 👍🏻

As someone who's left-handed, you may find it easier to start on the right actually. I'm right-handed, so when i first started beading i started with my thread knotted on the right. I found it almost impossible to handle the needle with my left hand, absolutely couldn't make it thru the beads from the left. So i switched to the knot on the left side, which meant i only had to hold the beads up with my left hand and could use the needle in my right hand. You'd just have to switch sides.

You should have fixed row 2 with the correct amount of beads, since you were still at the beginning. It can really change the indent. Richard

being a live tutorial we are very aware of time so left the mistake in the sample. Normally it would be fixed straight away if this was not just a sample

Why didn’t you show how to end the piece since that was , I presume, the selling point. ..that you won’t end up with so many threads.??
