I have been hunting for this! Thank you for the wonderful tutorial and I am glad you didn't edit out the mistakes because eventually all of us will make that mistake so we can see how it's fixed.

You are very welcome. I have found, over the years, that a lot of designing with beads, involve trial and error. The trick is to understand the thread properties you are working with, to avoid problems with fraying and knots. Have a great day.

Finally, a fellow left-handed beader! I've never seen a video explain how to use multiple beads between warp threads. I think this will help me adjust a pattern that I want to alter to include a couple of larger beads or buttons. Thank you!

Thanks for tips! I have the same exact loom. I was having issues with the warp threads coming off the coil thread separator while adding beads no matter how tight I made it. The more threads you have the more likely it is to happen with this loom design. To solve this issue, I took a wooden skewer and placed it between the wooden dowel and the coil on both ends of the loom making sure the skewer goes under the frame, over the warp threads, then back under the metal frame. This keeps pressure on the warp threads making it nearly impossible for the warp threads to come off the coil. I cut the skewers so they extend a quarter inch past the frame and secure the ends to the frame with tape. It was such a headache to loosen everything up to reset the warp threads in the middle of the project.

Thanks! New to your channel. I got beads from Temu and they seem to be different sizes in one container. Any suggestions? They are small , not sure about what seed beads are exactly. 😢
@AlluringBeader
@AlluringBeader Ай бұрын
Hi Kathy. Without being able to see them exactly, the best advice I can give is to purchase beads that can be easily sized and have multiples of said sizes. If you are looking for a less expensive option than some full-fledged bead stores, try shopping at Michaels and Hobby lobby when they have sales. The best results in beading, occur with uniformity of beads and sizes. Look around on KZbin for videos that help explain how beads are sized etc. In this video, I do use different size beads but they are knowable. For example, the bead mix has size 11 seed beads, 4 mm crystals and so on. This is very important to looming so that you can space the waft threads accordingly. I hope this helps you. Detrina K.

They need to make a better loom. One that stays still on the table and has numbers on those coils and on the wood so you know exactly where your thread should be. Draw the numbers on the wood use a ruler.
@AlluringBeader

I would have to agree with you Bob. This loom is very inexpensive and quite challenging to work with. There are many models to choose from available on the market but the better ones are very pricey. My thoughts on the subject are this... If you plan to loom often or for a living, invest in the best one you can afford at the time. Hope this info is helpful to you. Have a good day.

@@AlluringBeader Hi :) I'm betting though you can make one like that or fashion one like that. I've seen a few different ones but none that have any kind of ruler or numbers on them. Do you think maybe painting each single coil like different colors might work? Maybe adding some kind of sticky pads to the bottom to keep it still would work? Just trying to make a better mouse trap I guess. It shouldn't have to be so expensive these things but then what's inexpensive anymore right? Keep on doing what your doing I love watching. Thank you. :)

I hope you can help me. When I try to thread the very narrow needles to be able to work with the 11/0 seed beads, I'm unable to get my thread through the eye of the *thin* needle. Is there a certain size thread which can be easily placed through the small, narrow eyes of the small needles? Thank you for any advice.
@AlluringBeader
@AlluringBeader 3 жыл бұрын
HI Curtrice, The main reason it is difficult to thread the beading needles, is that the eye is oval and the thread is rounded. The easiest way to solve this problem, is to take a pair of flat nose pliers and give a gentle squeeze the the end of the beading thread you are passing through the needle eye. Hope this helps. Dee

Hi NadineI actually used E600 glue and Ultra Suede to seal the ends and then I added ribbon crimps and a Lobster claw and jump ring to the loops of the crimps. Thanks for asking.. maybe I can get to another looming project and show the ending soon.
