Thank you for the beautiful technique you showed us. I will have the same result with simple acrylic colors but not metallic?
@JulieVatcherArtist Жыл бұрын
I am really not sure! Deco art or folk art acrylic paints (metallic or normal colours) are generally lighter density paints as they are classed as craft paints. If you use heavy density paint over the top like Amsterdam white or black you will get effects as long as your consistency is correct… if it doesn’t work first time try and thin your paints a little.

So glad you found this video helpful. I have never had any issues with ‘no nonsense PVA’ from Screwfix or B&Q. I recently tried a cheaper one from ‘Dryad Education’, this one was runnier and can only be used 1>1 (not 2>1 as this video says), as you will loose your shapes whilst drying. I have no experience with Elmers.

@kathryncurry26622 жыл бұрын
I’m in the US, so is PVA glue the same as our Elmer’s Glue All, not the children’s glue. Also, if we have American Floetrol, can we use that instead of your pouring medium or will the results change? Thanks for your informative videos for us beginners! ❤️
@gailkutasi38662 жыл бұрын
Do you have Aquahere in America, you can get it from the hardware store. PVA is the same, a white glue. Ask the guys at the hardware store, it should have the ingredients on the label PVA stands for poly vinyl acetate. I think your floetrol is different. Good luck.
@JulieVatcherArtist2 жыл бұрын
Hi Kathryn. If you use different pouring mediums the results will change. Being based in the uk I haven’t used Elmers Glue All… I know it is widely used in the US and Australia. The American floetrol will give you results… just perhaps a little different. The best thing to do is experiment, pearls mainly come from the correct consistency, which is actually quite thin. Hope this helps a little!!
