This camera is awesome, only thing is there are several models and if you get one of the lowest priced you may be disappointed. I know the one I have is on par with any of the more expensive cameras, the quality and colors are better than the pro, and I'm not alone. plenty others have made the same discovery. Nice vid Rob. I just want to clarify that the "extra" back casing is not an "extra" one, One is not waterproof and lets the sound go through, the other has no slits and IS waterproof.

I love my Sj4000 wifi. I wished the build quality was better, but at less than half the price of a gopro hero 3, you really can't complain. Especially with all the mounts that come with the camera.

looks like speed of taking photo is rather slow and takes some time to "reboot/recover" before I can shoot another photo.. i guess burst mode would help if i wanna capture photos without missing any moments e.g. fireworks etc. in a dilemma to purchase SJCAM wifi or rent gopro HERO 4 silver for travelling.. any advise?

It's clearly the same camera as the Club Clipsal but the Club Clipsal screens a little larger, also a few different options in the menu but other than that its the same item.

I have watched a few of your videos & they are very useful especially as I have never owned such a gadget before & mine didn't come with any instructions, plus me being something of a Philistine doesn't help. :) Can you tell me how I transfer video to my (Mac) computer? When I connect the SJ4000 via USB (from the socket next to the HDMI socket) it just reads "Mass Storage & PC Camera" & there is no indicating icon or anything showing up on my computer? I would be grateful if you could tell me how to do this part?

Tricky. The videos are so large the only real option is to upload them to youtube or facebook and share them from there, by sending people the links. Remember a video can be unlisted, where only people who have the link can see it, if that's what you want.

Nice video I just got me the original SJCAM SJ4000 WiFi Action Video Cam .I was wondering if I need to update the software ? Because the video you're showing to go through menu buttons . And it shows video mode camera mode playback mode and settings. Mine shows video mode camera mode and no file mode and it goes into Setup.

...........mine has a heading in settings called "unlock"....and miraculously ...it worked to get rid of a file I could not "delete" . Unfortunately, there are so many manufacturers that a common set of instructions cannot be found.

+DW Caudill Pop the battery out, then fire it up again. To be honest I wouldn't be that worried, when the camera is in its case your can't get any audio recordings anyway.

+bullydanyellaloo Yes, the lens is very wide angle, but not a true fish eye. You could crop to reduce the effect, but that would down size the resolution too.

+Clueless_Nyssa The door can be tricky to get off, sometime you need a little screwdriver to help it pop open (gently) then there should be a tab to help you pull the battery out. If its not there, gently tap the camera into your hand to free it up.

That's right - the controls can be on the phone, but the video is still stored on the sj4000. You can transfer files, but they are very big and difficult to share.

When I'm recording is the red light supposed to flash and then the yellow light supposed to flash? And when I push the power button 3 times it says NO IMAGE on the screen! Should I take the ad card out and format it on the computer or from inside the camera?

+Diego 541 OK, so I format my cards in my computer. Do this then try again. Record a short video, then take the card out and transfer the files to your PC to have a look at them. Good luck!

Mine can't be used on WiFi. It says its connected with my router when I set it up, but I get a connection failed once I disconnect the LAN, every time. Any idea's?

My SJ4000 does not connect with my router, but creates its own WiFi hotspot - the default SSID name and password can be left as they are. I then connect to that SJ4000 WiFi hotspot on my phone and use the Google Play Store app 'SJCAM'. It's best to turn off 'mobile data' on your phone since it will complain about 'no internet' and may try to connect to the internet using your cellular network provider.
