I think from your end footage (track 5:58), I could say it's already a Vlogging-capable device compared to the other Cheapo Action-Cams also from China like the Siaomi Yi, or Eken H9. And by the way, there are some Counterfeit copy of this little gorgeous thing and they sell it a lot cheaper that the Original one, make sure you buy the Authentic one guys, the one that has a Barcode-Authentication Sticker on the side of the Box. Original one costs around $60 to $100 USD so if you see and purchased like a $14 to $20 SJCAM, that's a FAKE one for sure.

I suppose this is an original SJ4000 camera right? QUESTION: what is that female plug near the USB plug (female) and the micro SD card slot? is it an HDMI output? coz im right now on the site of the SJcam, and they claim that the SJ4000 does not have a hdmi output. I hope this is a mistake however.

hi, what video editor do you use for your sjcam4000??i use windows movie maker and when uploaded to youtube the video shows artifacts ,i think its movie maker doing it .

It is super important to buy the ORIGINAL one, not the many cheap copies. I had this camera for 8 years. Died few weeks ago... just stopped. I believe a faulty charger had played a big role as well... But hey, footage I have had recorded is always mistaken with GoPro. I would say even better!!! Highly recommended if you don't wanna spend much.

When snorkelling I initially mounted the camera on the middle of my mask, just over my forehead. This was unsatisfactory because sometimes it popped above the water. It also automatically timed out and switched off without my knowing. My solution was to put it on my selfie stick, and then also I could get really up close to fish and into their coral crevices without spooking them by my body size.

Nice vid dude I also bought the pentax 50mm f1.4 and that lens is amazing👌🏼 but for the action cam that quality looks pretty legit specially for that price! I own a gopro but if I didn't this would be a great budget choice!

This version of Action Cam doesn't support an external mic, but their latest model which is the SJ6 Legend has an external mic input, although that one is a little more expensive than this one.

I've had the same model for years and I hate it, the required force to press the button increases over time, and the waterproof case has a hard, dome-shaped button makes it really hard to hold properly while mashing down on the button. I wish someone would make a regular DSLR-style grip for action cams instead of this dinky little form factor. The only advantage it has over a phone is, you won't be sticking the phone in the water.

This thing crap.. Very hard to get in and out of the case for starters... Nothing gets any better... For 2 hrs I have tried to just get it out of the case and understand what these settings are about.. Don't waste any money here UNLESS you have plenty of time to waste ... I may ~never use this clunk, clunky device once.
