I'm not really super overweight. I moved and for some reason developed a bad habit of boredom eating.. now one month later i packed on 10-15 pounds and constantly crave junk food which i didn't crave food before.. I've never worked out before, just been naturally skinny, but now I'm trying really hard to get actually be fit. I don't like this extra weight D'x I can't even suck my stomach in to where it was

I'm the same- when I went to high school from a private food-monitored primary school I lost my mind over all of the studying etc and good food in the canteen, and I just boredom ate all the time! Now I boredom drink water and Whitney is helping me work towards my weight loss goal! Good luck!

+Annie Breen I disagree. When I was trying to lose weight keeping track of my calories and doing portion control helped a lot. Before that I wasn't aware of how much I was consuming. As far as being vegan goes, yeah that may be healthier. But that's a personal choice. For people like myself who aren't vegan, eating eggs and ground turkey is our best option

@Annie Breen that is not how all people work. I am not going to touch the vegan point with a 10 ft pole. However, I have to count calories as I just don't feel hunger properly. I can go two days without eating before I feel hungry and I know that is not good for me so I count my calories to make sure I am getting enough nutrition. Using an app to track my calores lets me know how I am doing on treats also. I refuse to live a fit/healthy lifestyle without sometimes indulging in a treat, but I look at my nutrition and calories for the day and see how bad it will throw me off.

It will be tough, don't film often, maybe not everyday atleast because you're adding new priorities to your already changed habits (if that makes any sense). You'll have a lot of things on your plate already, just push yourself and keep record of whats going on and let people know you're making a change. Good luck with everything

I heard that the scale is inaccurate. I don't remember who's video it was but she showed how all of the numbers changed 3 minutes after getting off. You'd probably save more money by going on amazon and looking at body fat analyzers on there.

if you have any facts, I would love to hear them, but "I heard", "someone said" etc are not serious statements. I have the scale shown in the video for a year now and the body fat % seems accurate + it matches when compared to body fat clipper for example. If you're going to measure every hour the scale with change, if you put it on an uneven surface - it will change. Measure at the same time of the day and you can see it's consistent.

I know the fat % can be slightly off from time to time but I need it because I want to see how my body changes when I train and eat healty. I don't really look at the water % and bone density. I also don't measure every day - 1 time a week is more than enough. For me the scale is kind of motivation - at the end I might be the same kg I started but instead of 28% fat have 22% - and of course you can see that in the mirror but I'm a digit person :)

About two years ago I was living in California. I was working at a candy store in a mall and was eating Jack in a Box and pizza almost everyday. I then moved to Texas to be with my family again. I’m walking a lot more and for longer distances, and I’m no longer eating fast food every other day. I didn’t realize how the smaller lifestyle changes I had made really made a difference in my health. In less than 2 years I had lost about 30 pounds. In the past year I’ve made more of an effort to incorporate more physical activity into my schedule and I’m so happy that I have.

These are great tips! I especially love where you talk about setting small goals. It can be way more effective to focus on small, obtainable goals in the beginning than to overhaul everything at once and get overwhelmed. Focusing on drinking 8 glasses of water a day or eating veggies with every meal is a great place to start.
