Glad to see you out Josh! This was an excellent video on raising goats. People need this before they jump into getting goats. It is work to have a good herd. Your herd is what we all strive for healthy beautiful and good moms! Thanks again Josh don`t wait so long before the next video I was worried about your health!

I raise French and American Alpines. I got into goats for the Agriculture exemption and my brother-in-law found a lady getting out of goats because she was moving to the city. I went through field fence, welded wire and then found no climb horse fence and the goats can't break it. I have to go 5 feet high because my goats can jump. I do have to disbud them because they are registered dairy goats and the ADGA requires them not to have horns. Some of my goats are polled. I like the Alpines because they are fairly easy to handle and they are quiet. When I got into goats I had a lot of friends that told me that goats were easy to care for. I found out that if there is a way to cause trouble, they will. They do keep life interesting. I love watching the kids play and how the goats interact with each other. They are entertaining. It's amazing how agile they are.

Good tips for anyone wanting to get into goats. The one thing that has kept me from getting goats is the lack of good fencing. Fencing is expensive and what I have won't hold water let alone a goat! So that is one thing I would have to address. 🤔💖😉 I am happy to see you looking well. My prayers go with you always. 💖🙏💖

Hey there Josh, I hope you’re feeling better and enjoying being able to enjoy the farm and your animals again. I’m recovering myself, my husband got sick with the sinuses and Covid, that a couple of his workers had gotten but he was able to rid himself of Covid due to his shots and catching it early but amazingly he became sick with his ears and a low grade fever and the doctor had to treat him for sinusitis with antibiotics but he’s a fighter when he gets sick and he got well right away. The weather has been so strange lately and some days are like spring and then the true weather came in and it got so cold and now snowy and everyone is getting sick. I recovering from a severe sinus infection with fever and headaches, so now I stay away from crowds and wear mask outside. How is your family? I hope everyone’s well. Take care of yourself and listen to the doctor. God bless you and your family. I love your cute Kiko babies.❤

Boy you ain't lying, I learned the hard way too. After eight years in raising goats a good fence is absolutely important. I raise dairy goats for the milk (we love it) which I make cheese and soap from. Now my goats are not purebred, but mostly Nubian with some Alpine and LaMancha mixed in, but all dairy breeds. I have considered keeping some of bucklings for meat but haven't as of yet.

I really enjoyed this educational side of goat care. Even though I'll never have goats 🐐 myself, I find them to be very charming animals. So many of the KZbin Creator's I follow have goats and through them I've come to really like 👍these characters. I think I would have enjoyed having some pigme goats as pets. I see you didn't recommend feeding any grain, and I've recently learned it is really not good for them yet many goat keepers do feed grain. Any comment on that? Your kids have sure grown since the last video 😊 and look like they are thriving. So good to see you up and looking as good as can be expected. You are just the most pleasant person and I admire your faith.

Josh, great informational video. Perfect timing because my interest lately is possibly getting into goats. Not immediate future but hopefully within a couple of years. We have a few things that need to happen before we can, but researching now is part of us finding the right property. Hubby is all about the return on investment!! 🤣 So having a timeline and my list of needs/potential costs, I absolutely need to do my homework. The nice weather has made you "glow" and seem more mobile. I continue to pray for you and your wife through this journey. Thank you for being an inspiration of hope, and educational to promote healthy, strong herds for any of us getting the itch for herds. Much love from Iowa ❤️❤️❤️

We use cattle panels. The cage that houses our babies has extra fencing at the bottom, but cattle panels have worked for all of our goat fences. They're thick metal they last forever they're tall enough and you just latch them together however you want to make your fence and however big you want to make it

Looking stronger Josh! I love the baby goats. They're so comical! When I finally get my property ready to move to, I'm interested in a couple milk goats that can also browse down different areas of the land away from the house. I was thinking about the full electric fencing that I could move around the land. Do you think that would hold Nigerian Dwarfs in?? The ground in my mountain is super rocky so not sure a ton of traditional fencing would work for me. I'm mostly into having chickens, rabbits maybe the occasional steer or hog and many gardens! I would love your perspective. Thanks, Texas Deb ❤️

My goat, Satan learned how to open our horizontal door handles and no one taught him. He had been observing us. We thought burglars had broken in. Nope. Just him inside with all the other goats. Switched to door knobs now. He’s so smart. I love him. 🤣🖤

I'm glad your health is improving and God bless you and your family love your videos. Can you explain the feed program that you have your goats on? Thank you from an old retired army vet Dale Nedrow
