the % next to your progress in disintegrate mode is not a speed modifier… it modifies the amount of structural salvage you receive. For example, if it says -25% of 1 scu then you will only take in 0.75 scu. If it says +25% of 1 scu, then you will actually get 1.25 scu. The speed increase is because you get closer to the ship, not because of the %.

Another important thing to remember with the Vulture specifically. It CANNOT fracture large ships, so 50k contracts will more often than not cost more then they're worth in potential profit. Stick with 20k contracts for medium sized ships such as the corsair, Star-runner, 400i, etc.

I've taken the 50K missions and only scraped them. But I guess I am leaving money in the table since I can't fracture as well. Is it a better time to credit ratio to do the 20K missions? Do they spawn closer to planets?

Salvaging is probably one of the best ways to make money, especially with a friend on standby. Like if you have a vulture and your friend is in a cutter. You can position eachother back to back, having your friend unloading RMC from the hopper and placing it in their ship, and then hopping from contract to contract

You do not have to do every level of Salvage mission. Do two of the first tier and then you can already accept 50k missions

The numbers are a bit wrong here. Yeah RMC sells for more but a 32 SCU will sell at about 436k, minus the 50k and you are at 386k. The time it takes to do this is a key thing to note (Even with Abrade, I don't think you'll get 32 SCU and the moving of boxes down in 15 minutes). Now if you do 2 cleanup jobs, you get 160k for the work, and 32 scu at 6090; add the 2 and you get 374k. If you are moderately quick, you can do the 2 cleanups in about 10-15 minutes. The key note for the cleanups is you might be unlucky and not get any. You can sell the CM at HUR L4 which is close to Yela where you will pretty much always get cleanups, and that means no planet side shenanigans involved. With these figures, honestly; RMC isn't worth it, and it has a cap at planets which are often flogged out by people hauling the stuff. An hour of CM grinding like above equates to 1.4m.

Yeah but it's worth noting that this is only temporary. There is no way this is going to remain this way. Pretty much everyone knows this. A nerf is coming. Plus CIG has already said they will try to make it impossible to solo big ships like the Reclaimer, to prevent what is currently happening.

Hi, great video, i have a question. It seems when i have recycled and construction Matierels in my Depot, that i cant normally salvage anymore. Its not getting me any recycled SCUs

I don't think it's a matter of the material you have, it might be the server. It's a common bug to not be able to scrape material from time to time. Unless the buffer is completely full, then you might just need to print boxes

Right click switches between modules. I talk about in the video how to use just the abrade so you aren't using it and the tractor beam at the same time

I had thought that we could have two cinch and two abrade scrapers in addition to the tractor beam (I think two abrades is how it used to be before the addition of the tractor beam). Now if we want to use abrade on the Vulture we switch to tractor mode and then switch scrapers individually from tractor to abrade.

You are absolutely right. It had 2 abrade modules before the addition of vehicle tractor beams. You can swap out the tractor beam in vehicle load out manager for another abrade

use free look in gimbal and it free up how far you can look with them too don't have to move you ship as much

I can't use the tractor pistol in the hangar, is that something they changed? I always have to leave the armstice zone first

A work around for that is to drag the tractor beam from your inventory directly into your hand and you should be able to use it.

Sometimes scraping the hull gives 0 cSCU/s. Like, the filler station doesn't fill. Happens to me at least once a day and i need to destroy my vulture to get a new one in order to make it work again. Is that a bug? and if yes is there a workaround for this? other than losing the contract and 20 minutes

It is a known bug. Sometimes it's a server thing and should resolve its self shortly. There are also some parts of the ships that seem scrape-able but won't actually give any RMC. if you scrape all over the ship and nothing is working its probably just the server and you can bed log real quick and should fix.

I have a question, how do you just use the scraper when you right click and it goes to the tractor beam and scraper? Is there a way to do it? Or do I need to remove the tractor beam? Any help on that would be awesome, I need to save auec to get a reclaimer and thought this would be a good way to start, either that or I will try running rmc in my m2, even though I don't want to do that and make it harder for the people salvaging to sell their rmc

wait? I thought swapping the cinch for Trawler mods was the way to go? I put 3 trawlers on my vulture. Is that wrong?

Trawlers are really slow and inefficient. They cover a wider area but scrape really slow and don't produce as many boxes. Abrade is a good in-between of the cinch and trawler. You'd be amazed how fast the abrade can burn through a hammerhead

There is currently a duping glitch so people can multiple their cargo and sell over and over again. They keep doing it with RMC and CMAT and if the inventory has not refreshed then the commodity terminal will have no demand. So you can't sell until it refreshes

You can create RMC way faster if you swap the 2 cinch mods for abrade mods. If you fill up every corner of the rear of the ship you can fit atleast 23 boxes back there. Plus the 13 you can have in the printer would be 216K per run if you only did construction material. Park outside of somewhere like NB where you can have instant access to admin office, easy money

If you mean the horizontal bar near the bottom left of the screen with the red lines, it's your throttle. the M/S above is for "Meters per second". Adjust like normal so you can avoid smashing into stuff on accident by lowering your thruster's output.

I completely agree. You have this 12 SCU vulture and 420 SCU reclaimer lol. Honestly the reclaimer needs some work because it only has 2 salvage heads and so does the vulture.....

protip, better to just scrape 50,000 ships than to scrape and break medium ships. If you do medium ships, try to do ships made after 2021 as their gemoetry is better created making scraping a lot more fficient (i.e. MSR vs Andro, pick MSR)

@@epic_grayfox You'll know when scrapping because you'll go over a lot of materials that say you can't scrape. I recommend looking up but for the purposes of scraping C2, MSR, Corsair, Vulture (these are probably the only ones you might consider scrapping anyway)

Good bit of information provided so I'll give major points for that. But a million per hour in a Vulture? Not very likely. With plenty of practice and you're really pushing it you might hit 750K per hour. With luck. If you just absolutely fill the Vulture it will hold right at 23 scu. 23 scu of RMC from hull scraping will pay about 300K. You'll spend the better part of an hour filling that hold with RMC. That's a LOT of salvage claims to buy at prices ranging from 1K to 50K. A lot of time spent flying to those salvage claims. Claims from the General tab (non risky) will be anywhere from 40 Km to 80Km+ from an orbital station. And you can't quantum jump to them. That's distance you have to travel in real time. Usually through an asteroid field with little or no visibility. Still more time scraping all those hulls. Then still more time flying to a location, such as New Babbage or Grim Hex to sell it. The only way to make a million per hour is if you find valuable cargo on a ship. Valuable as in something that pays better than the RMC you would get from scraping. Quantanium pays about 25K per scu. Some of the contraband drugs pay up to 100K per scu. But there are only a very few places you can sell them and if you get scanned carrying any of them you'll get a crime stat. And cargo in salvage claims has been pretty heavily nerfed. The Risky Cleanup missions pay you. But they are time sensitive and bear an increased risk of pirate attack. If you exceed the timer, there's an increased risk of local authority ships appearing and scanning you. And giving you a crime stat for being in a trespass zone. The Cleanup Missions also have a limited spawn rate.
