Well...after watching 5 or so how to drape a sari videos, I'm going to give it a try. I really like your choice of fabric because it's beautiful but even more important it has a wide band and a narrow band on it so it's easier to see which side you're supposed to be tucking or pleating. Thank you. You look beautiful in it.

I watched several of these tutorial videos and, is it just me, or are these sarees so difficult to put on?? I'm not Indian but my husband of 10 years is (and no, he's never made a big deal of me not wearing one - lol). I've only worn a saree once and it's when I visited India for the first time, 1 year ago. I received help to put it on and have never worn one since. I really want to learn. I figured I live in an area with a high Indian population so I won't stand out as much. I told my husband I will wear one the next Indian outing he takes me to. I've gone online and have found endless types and variations. I think they're so pretty and sexy, just that it seems like a challenge to put it on. One must was really learn and get used to it. I look forward to my wearing one. One thing for sure I notice with these videos, is they never give importance to the blouse and petticoat. I'd like to clearly see what that looks like too.
