Quick tip: Wear your dress shoes before draping the saree to get the right level above the ground, otherwise the saree might hover too high or low from the ground and you might need to drape again

I'm using it to dress a handmade doll to be gifted to a young Indian girl I'm friends with. I'm a traditionalist, my grandmother wore sarees, I have worn sarees. I come to get a reminder about some folding and was surprised, I have never used a pin in a saree or worn one as you have shown. @Briana, first of all as it is a satin cloth u Don't need to use so many pins, just two or three pins would work, two is perfect. Secondly, if u use thin pins it wouldn’t damage the fabrics. U can use the first pin after completing the round rap when u are going to cover ur belly, though its not necessary, i never use it, secondly u can pin up when u r covering ur shoulder as mentioned in the video or u can directly use it a little bit down behind ur shoulder. See only two pins needed. Though i only use one on my shoulder and trust me that's enough if u can wear the sari in a proper way from the start. Hope i was help. ❤️
