Tips on the truck: You only need to use the choke when it is COLD (both the truck and the ambient temp.). Using it when the engine is warm will ‘flood’ the engine and make it hard to start (ref. 23:07). The ‘bounce’ you mention is probably an engine mis-fire, or “miss”. Hopefully the new owner performed a compression test before buying which would make the difference between a tune-up and more expensive repairs. Finally, the emergency brake (linkage and cable and perhaps brake shoes) clearly needs attention (e.g- lubrication/adjustment). The good news is it’s not needed w/ a manual transmission since leaving it in gear will achieve the same function unless it's parked on an incline. From a ‘real’ old man… (you feels your age) 😎

Right Place at the Right Time Opportunities :). very exciting project for sure. Just to share an idea since you are now exploring 'glamping' experiences. Especially if you have land that feels like a classic trope of being in the middle of nowhere or deep in the forest far from civilization - DIY camping for dads and their children - where you provide all the material needed for the experience of setting up camp, only they do the setting up. ex. putting up the tent. Classic childhood experiences that so many are missing out on. Moms love the glamping only dads like the rugged survival of it all. And both moms and dads and children alike LOVE gathering around the fire, roasting marshmallows and telling stories. At least that's what we discovered after two years of testing the market. Or you have the romantic couples which also like glamping. OH...most important factor for females - bathroom availability and safety. Solar shower was fine, going to the bathroom or needing to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night was number one concern.

Great idea! When you said testing the market, what is your experience do you have something you're creating? Would love to know more. We also see you moved to PT. Perhaps shoot us an email at hello@mrandmrsadventure.com Cheers!

So exciting, new project, new properties, hidden valley, WOW! That place looks like a little Eden. I liked the horse one the best, just another amenity/experience to be part of the whole glamping thing. Drew, you fit that truck like a hand in glove, especially with the cowboy hat. Britt ya gotta get a cowboy hat too🤠. Can't wait to watch and see where this ends up. You got me hooked. Love you😍

The pickup! I graduated HS in 1976! (I’m old) Lol. The bicentennial. My dad owned a body shop so having grown up in that atmosphere I can drive pretty much anything (or used too) I love a stick or even 3 on a tree which are even harder to find. Once you learn Brittany, I think you’ll enjoy driving a stick. I’m being perfectly honest here…it’s been a joy watching you look at all the properties. Can’t wait to see what’s next! Stay safe guys. Xxoo love from California

Enjoying your journey, just a few comments... On 46 nice truck, you only need the choke when it cold the HT cables break down so if hard starting replace them. I didn't see all the engine so maybe no electronic solenoid keep it clean( wire brush) check oil (change oil,filter and clean air filter ( replace every 2 second service) water regularly (weekly) depends on mileage. On driving a stick Vs manual, use your ear or rev counter, 1000 to 2000 change up, listen to your automatic when it changes. Air con in Ireland, very few days needed, the old way was open the windows and accelerate. The property with the lake the Hidden valley looks the best(bit small) but the acess a bit narrow and bumpy, so bull doze it off and pack the road with the dirt. I picked up on your travel sorry journey in life. In Portugal just an idea wedding venue...... Thank you for sharing. It is nice to see so much of a positive attitude in life with so much strife going on. Keep safe.

Question re: Hidden Valley: If access is only drawback on your dream property, how much cost to have the the access road graded properly?
@gabygaedecke24112 жыл бұрын
Okay - that was a lot of fun, exploring those possibilities! My goodness, the world is just full of options, isn't it? Of course Hidden Valley would be AMAZING, but letting clients know that a four-wheel-drive is prefereable in order to access the site might limit your interested clients.

Funny, I've done a photo shoot of the junkyard property, not a spot I'd want to develop either. Moab is cool, everybody wants to go to Moab and for me that's the issue. Used to be a little more rough and wild, now it's just crowded and full of bucket-list 'experience' junkies. The town itself has doubled in size in 10 years and it's all hotels.

I loved the Hidden Valley land best but if you noticed all that green grass in the middle of the desert means that land is watered, with by sprinklers(doubt it) or from the creek overflowing. That could be a big problems in case they have flash floods there. Good luck
