Do yourself a favor and become a Patreon to The Ukulele Fool. This girl knows her stuff and how to break songs down for the beginning ukulele player. Excellent instruction and easy to follow pdf song sheets. Thanks Lisa!

What a fun song to sing and play. So doable for beginners like me with only the basic 4 chords. I remember the song when I was a kid. My now deceased mother loved to listen to this on the radio.

@@TheUkuleleFool That is true. I bought my 1st ukulele & started to learn to play ukulele 5 months after my mother died in 2022. I find myself especially appreciating playing songs that I remember she loved & songs that we sang at her Assisted Living Facility during the last 3 yrs of her life. A Musician came once/per week to play guitar, sing & encourage us to join in the singing. As a visitor, I was allowed to sing. Filling in for some elderly residents who did not want to sing. My mother passed over the 🌈 Rainbow Bridge at age 103. Yes we had two cats also.

Below comments endorsed. I certainly learnt very quickly and the slow speed to begin, gradually speeding up just makes it all so easy. Everybody can learn at their own speed.

I am such a firm believer in going slow. It is the way I learn the best.

I had a bit of a breakthrough success today. I recently reached 10 months of learning. When playing this song, for the first time I got my audience (my brother) to clap along with me on the chorus - the hey . . . . part. So much fun doing this with the Cowboy strum.

So simple! So Sweet! I love the pause strum pattern . The pause creates space for the listener and the player to breathe and like Stu teaches! I love how you smile as you teach! My day is brighter now! Awesome instructions! I'm gonna start using this pause pattern tight away! 🎤🎤🎤💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾🎸🎸🎸🎸💚💚💚👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🎬🎬🎬 FUNtastic ! Jenny guided me to you to watch your interview with her! I'm a subscriber now! Thank you for the playing and singing tip! 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿🌅🌅🌅🌅
