Thank you so much, this is exactly what we have to hear, specially as beginners! Master I have a question, you say we must practice these movements for 3 weeks to a month. You mean, these two movements (ma bu and gong bu), or the whole sequence of Ji Ben Quan?
@michaelweichhardt4 жыл бұрын
keep it simple - practice the mabu punch and gombu punch separated - every day to improve. :) when things become easier - the full sequence of form.

It would be better if you show Chinese words in roman English on the video screen for better understanding. or you can write in the description too.

Hello Sifu, Doing that Ma Bu stance with 90 degrees is really hard, any advice to improve
And what about your minmen? It seems that it closed

I looked at my mabu posture again - its very straight lower back is decompressed - totally fine. Gonna show you a comparison of the wrong way in the next part 2 when I really stick the hip out. What you seeing is that I am turning while keeping the hip in - by accelerating the punch the upper body moves with it. Please get yourself a mirror and try to copy that Mabu punch movement and look at your bottom - the lower back has to turn but the hip must stay inside and the lower back should be decompressed. When I am doing the Gombu punch - then by turning and talking to the camera - I am closing my lower back - which is no good - so don't stop Gombu punch and talk to a camera like I did. If you meant the Gombu while explaining then yes you are correct - but the actual movement of the punch is again - perfectly fine. I am very sensitive to the basic postures and also as one of the best in the traditional class during my education I am very confident in my stances and postures. watch this: kzbin.info/www/bejne/omnRqmmtl5d6pMk
