I have loved Robert Lamm since the Beginning. This is a great video and I liked how he made sure lady got her picture. This group Chicago has been with my generation all these years and that is why I am still an ardent fan. Thank you KZbin for the memories.

Looks like he works out. I don’t see an ounce of fat on him. Diet......maybe. Terry Kath, R.I.P. probably over did, like many in the business; way too early, knowing he was well loved by his fans

The algorithm suggested this. Haven't heard Beginnings in ages. Robert sounds great! The band is top notch! Chicago was a band of my youth. I saw them early seventies.. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

I find myself playing Beginnings just about everytime I go on utube. The song ,from the original,to all the various versions still intoxicates and mezmorizes. For me a masterpiece. When a piece music still makes me emotional after 50 years...its just unbelievable

That's all he had. Only just the start. And end. If he was so good why didn't he go make his own record's. He's what you call. A want to be. Again my opinion. My favorite group. I know the careers after Kaths death. He was no leader.

I LOVE this song! Such a great melody, so catchy, and absolutely beautiful lyrics. I love the line when he sings, “Got to get you into my life…” Great shout out to The Beatles! Of course, Paul said that song was about his love for pot, but that’s neither here nor there. Chicago really was one of the greatest bands of that era, and the Robert Lamm compositions are the best ones: Beginnings, 25 or 6 to 4, Does Anybody Really Know What Time it Is, and Saturday in the Park….all incredible songs!

I'm hooked on this song. I've been listening to every single post that is available. Theses guys are stunning and mind blowing. I'm so fascinated with the song. Used to listen to it when I was a little girl and back then it touched a niche in my heart even though I had no idea of the singers' name nor the song title.

What's great about an intimate venue like this is that the audience can sing along to very familiar lyrics and everybody - including the band - can hear the audience singing with them. And it helps that this is one of the greatest songs ever written.

still a great band, I just saw them tonight in tulsa, and here I am on youtube getting some more, most of the players have been with the band a long time, they put on an awesome show tonight, and I couldn't have seen them in like, 1973, because I would have been two, but I remember listening to my sisters vinyl when I was like, 8. chicago kicked ass, and still kicks ass.

Robert Lamm Rocks ! I know some folks talk about the previous drummer and Bill Champlin, both were good, but both wanted creative control and both got bored and lazy towards the end. Chicago is like a team and want tolerate one person talking over creative control, or allow one person to be the face of the band like Cetera did. I can appreciate they are trying to stay true to their roots and share the lime light ! Rock on Chicago, I hope for many more years !
