Oh man oh man oh man! Thank you sooo much for this video! And the bonus how to upgrade your bearing! Icing on the cake! I shared this video wherever I thought ppl would take notice! My bearing hasn't gone bad yet but I believe I will do this project before the end of summer! If not needed before hand! You two rock! I couldn't be more pleased with this video! Gonna go out and get my tools next week and work on the wheel! Super excited!

The bearing seal is a preventative. If your bearings are bad, then you'll need to replace them

bearing seals are so important especially on smaller wheels. dirt will tend to get in and make audible noise after as little as a few hundred miles

its quite a quick process. especially with a little water, bearings go bad quickly.

You will also need to check the condition of the variants. If rust has started pitting in your bearings, then it's better to replace them. The grease will not stop the rust

Oh yeah. T4 is a great wheel. Basically a v12 with suspension

I enjoy watching Albert working on wheels. He is always so detailed and makes the process look so easy. By watching him work, I learned A LOTTTT and I was motivated to do my own Master bearing seal too. 🥰 Hopefully these repair videos will also motivate & support those who want to work on their wheels but just lacking a bit of confidence. - Xtine :)

@2cells1pack indeed, I have spoken with Albert on the phone he is very sharp and understands engineering very well. He makes good decisions, in my opinion. This is an exciting time for this technology. I feel as though the current companies are doing alright. It's getting better, but so much of the way these wheels are made things are an afterthought in terms of hardware materials, and the cause is break fix nonsense as well as unnecessary wear and tear. This bearing method is a perfect example of how people like Albert make a difference to the community. It is very clever. Maybe in a few years these companies will follow set standards, and the tech can be taken seriously and become more mainstream. Until it improves, we need Albert's to make our rides better 😃

Very informative, thank you so much for the video. Did they ever fix that waterproofing on the later batches on the T4? I’m about to buy one and it came out about a year ago? Just wondering if I buy one now, it’ll still be not waterproof when I buy it

What great detail and clarity in this video. But it appears that they completely forgot to include the "tire change" chapter in this video. Nothing about tire removal or replacement on the rim was shown. No tips or insight on tire replacement! I'm baffled why they didn't simply label this video as "Begode T4 - Bearing Protection". What a great video for bearing greasing and sealing though!!!

Sorry, but these videos help people get to the point of a tire change. Sometimes I don't need to do an actual tire change but a different repair. I do these videos so that there is a good guide to get to the point of being able to perform the tire change

Heya, awesome guide. I want to put a bearing seal on my T4, but I have the older version where its a one piece gasket. I am not keen on removing the motor cable because of that. Could I possible take the tire out like how you did at the start of the video, then simply cut the seal so it slots in the cable side, then apply some super glue to glue it back together? Perhaps i can apply the grease slowly instead of using the grease applier ring. Do you think that is viable? Thanks :D

I do these tire change videos to show people wheel specific instructions on how to get to the point of a tire change. In some videos - I am required to do the tire change and therefore will include it in the video. In other instances where I am making the tutorial purely for instructional purposes - I don't need to change the tire and therefore I don't go through those steps.

The TOPSTN tire is pretty good, but would require modifications if you have a T4 V1.

I have a brand new v3 t4 from ewheels, it has 70 miles on it. How long do you suppose the stock bearings will last? I don't normally ride in rain.

The newer crop of wheels don’t have as much bearing issues as they are now sealed

the ones that have been done by factory so far ( Sherman S / Patton / S22 / EX30 ) most of them exhibit typical squeaks when riding due to seal rubbing on axle. Consumers may not like the squeals as it gives off a perception of lack of quality.

Everytime I watch a Begode teardown video, I just find more reasons to stay away from them. Why would they not just spend a few extra bucks to seal the bearings from water? Makes you wonder what other corners they are still cutting in 2023.

I feel like the extra bearing grease is unnecessary as there is already an existing bearing gasket to prevent water and dust from entering. Are there any videos showing the damaged bearings?
