Thanks. I have narrow foot and sensory issues as well.

I feel your pain. Literally and figuratively. Just bought a helmet and sooo wanted a Krios Pro. Went to the store several times to try it on. Loved everything about it, except the fit. 😂. Tight pressure right on top of my head. Smart enough to know I’d be miserable if I’d bought it. Bought an XD4 instead. Yes, it’s heavier. No transition lens, etc. but it fits. Now, I ride with MX boots. So the ski boot feel is part of the package. The more flex a boot has the less protection. It’s a compromise. You have to decide how much you need the extra protection (how technical do you ride, and do you “fall off” a lot). Maybe try the revit boots? $$$. Or Sidi adventure (or whatever it’s called). Great review.

I have a pair of the low top Klim Outlander GTX, which are great for a daily around town boot. They are comfortable and I love the BOA system .It's a shame the GTX Adventure just didn't work for you. If your feet are in pain, you will be miserable. I just purchased a pair of the A Stars Corazol. While they are quite stiff, they are comfortable. I spent a season trying to decide on new boots. I was considering the Klim Adventure, Sidi Adventure, Alpinestars Toucan and Corazol. The choices are endless! Good luck in your search for a new Adv boot, we will keep tuned. Like you channel! Had been nice if you have a extra camera when trying them on, shoulders up felt wrong when everything is about the boots.

How is the toebox?? I have injury metatarsals on a crash… need some toe protection, more than just leather
@BeGoneForGood Жыл бұрын
It’s definitely better than just leather but not like a steel toe or anything. It has some structure for sure but I wouldn’t be hitting the construction site with it anytime soon.

Good review. Klim has great gear, but maybe these boots are a bit beyond there area of expertise. I have been happy with my Forma Adventure boots, but now want something with more protection (broke a bone in my right foot when my foot peg stuck me just above the sole). After talking to some adventure instructors I am leaning towards Alpinestars Tech 7 Enduros.
@Matthew-wn8oq8 ай бұрын
The ramp.on the heel of the sole actually is a " design choice " it's put there so you can move your foot back and forth on the peg ( slide forward to hit your brake / shift gears)

Gaerne Dakar Gore-tex boots are great adventure boots very confortable & very protective. But, i know not as protective as a motocross boots.
@maxangle4512 жыл бұрын
Look at the Gaerne G Dakar GTX. They are new to the North American market and are nicely priced for a Gore-Tex boot.
@BeGoneForGood2 жыл бұрын
I have been supremely happy with my current Gaerne's so this would seem to make sense as an upgraded option. Thank you very much for pointing them out to me. Now we will see if they work as well as their comfortable predecessor.

Are these any good for short riders to flat foot the bike
@smatt87242 жыл бұрын
It’s too bad they didn’t work for you. I own a pair of these, purchased last year, and I swear they are the most comfortable boot I’ve had. Quality and comfort is something I saw when trying them on the first time in store. Not sure who would be ok with an uncomfortable boot, I’m not. Worn in heavy rain, through mud, lots of walking around, and for me they are perfect. No pressure points in my pair. I ride a 1290SAR and 60/40 (road/offroad) and these for me are the right boot. For everyone interested in adv boots, like anything, go try a pair for yourself. Try one size larger and use their provided extra inserts for adjustment. Unfortunately there will always be a complaint for a product, no matter how good it is. Cheers

May need to be broken in. I'll wait for follow up vid.
@BeGoneForGood2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, there will be zero follow ups on these boots. They immediately went back. There was way too much pain, way too quickly. I am hoping to find something that works much better.

These should only be used for Starbucks runs…that’s it. They look soft as cheese. If you’re riding any off road, beyond a flat fire road, you should be wearing a real boot, plenty of options on the market. I have a pair of Alpinestars Belize for light riding and I picked up a pair of Tech 7 Enduro Drystars for anything off-road. Otherwise, I love my Klim Latitude and Baja S4 suits.

I tried the Kim they just did not work . I through they were to complex compared to the TCI drafter .

Do you feel that the toe box material is hard enough to protect Matatarsals / toes in case bike land on one’s foot ??
@BeGoneForGood2 жыл бұрын
No, I don't think this would be crush proof but I think it would help. I don't know if I would rely on anything other than a steel toe or full on MX boot for something like that though. I think almost any adventure boot is going to leave some vulnerabilities for the sake of comfort.

How thick is the area in the heel and soles off the boot
@timhamilton56992 жыл бұрын
That is disappointing. I have a few items of Klim gear and really like their quality. I have been wearing a full moto boot for about 18 months now (O'Neal Rider) and they have been good. They do lack water protection, but at $150, I can't be upset and it is nothing that my Gortex socks can't handle. As for the boot flex; my boots were real stiff and took several rides to break in, so I wouldn't loose any sleep over stiff boot ankles in a brand new boot... the pressure points on the other hand are not good.

What did you get in the end?
@BeGoneForGood2 жыл бұрын
Oddly enough I finished with the Sidi Adventure 2s but also picked up a proper MX boot for more off road adventuring.
@OneManTrail2 жыл бұрын
I have those boots. They have horrible pressure points on the inside where the buckle is. Also the toe box is huge and is clunky to fit under a shifter. I switched to an Alpinestars Toucan and felt broke in from day 1. I had the same exact reaction you did when you first buckled it. Try some Toucans you’ll be amazed. Klim needs to stick to garments. Their helmets and boots suck.
@BeGoneForGood2 жыл бұрын
Yeh, it was a big disappointment. I was so excited to love the Klims. Unfortunately, I just couldn’t get past the issues. I have heard great things about A-Stars. I might have to try them.
@davidsmyth27982 жыл бұрын
Just got a pair and had to send them back for similar issues, the plastic insert in the instep sticks out inside the boot and hurts a lot. Poor design by Klim, disappointed for such an expensive boot.

Those." ADV" boots are NO good if you ride off road at all. The very min. you should be looking at is a Tech 7 enduro if you are in the dirt . The Drystar enduro Tech 7 is worth every penny.

I’m just curious…what do you think you would have gained by seeing it on my foot and not all the closeup and b roll shots of the boot?
@shaishafrir62892 жыл бұрын
@@BeGoneForGood first, thank you for responding. Second, if you buy a boot that doesn’t fit you, it is a personal thing which has nothing to do with the boot or your viewing audience interest. I actually do appreciate your review when you actually use the product otherwise who cares. On a personal note, I was in search of boots and after testing 5 different boots I got the Klim Adventure ones last week. Your comments didn’t make much sense as these had lots of adjustment compared to others I tested (such as fro BMW, SiDi, and Revit).
@BeGoneForGood2 жыл бұрын
Oh, the boot fit just fine but the pressure inside the boot was terrible. I wanted this to be my new boots but I couldn’t take the inside. It’s unfortunate because the Kilm boots would have gone well with everything else I have.
@katekate75795 ай бұрын
Man, honestly, to do a boot review with the camera on your torso? Please, consider having the camera on the PRODUCT while you are putting it on. We dont need to see your torso the entire time. Would love to have seen you putting on the boot, indicating pain points, etc. this was unwatchable for anyone who wanted to experience the product with you.
@rideoregonfirst2 жыл бұрын
"ADV Boots" are for Armchair Adventurers that are afraid to crash, and think they never will, and are more concerned about style than reality. Real riders that crash (and LIKE it!) once in a while need a full-blown MX-type Boot with full protection for ankles and shins. DO NOT SKIMP ON YOUR FEET!!!
@BeGoneForGood2 жыл бұрын
Well that doesn’t seem entirely accurate. There are all sorts of different kinds of riding and boots available represent different levels of comfort versus safety desires. We all choose where we put that line and many would agree that absolute protection is paramount but others would like to also be able to walk in their gear. I need a little bit of both.
