I think this would look even better with some of the transparent ab glass bubbles in it instead of pearls.

I imagine that sugar pearls and food-grade mica powder mixed into a cranberry or raspberry flavored drink would make for a fun cosplay party favor too! Imagine the Harry Potter themed double-date with a cosmopolitan cocktail (or mock-tail).... or a cran-tini with mica filled jelly balls🤯💫 Too many possibilities!!!!

Mica powder is so magical. Those faux pearls are a fun twist to add to the potion; I'll have to look for them next time I'm in Dollar Tree.

Hi, great videos. Can I ask how you decide to use rubbing alcohol or distilled water and glycerine.
@CookingandCraftChick5 ай бұрын
@@moniregb5682 you can use either it’s mostly up to preference and availability. If your potions are going to be in extreme heat for say cosplay or something I would recommend distilled water and glycerin or distilled water and a tiny bit of alcohol for evaporation purposes. But both work great 😊

Have you found the alcohol breaks down the pearls?
@CookingandCraftChick4 ай бұрын
@@terik4613 I have not had any issues with these breaking down. If you’re worried about it you can always do distilled water and glycerin instead of the alcohol.

Man I just love your potion videos so much. Your creativity is always amazing and your potions never fail to be stunning 😻 It was cool when you added the blue drop of coloring, it was like a vein of blood or something spreading through the water lol. And with that long spoon it looked just like you were stirring boba when you mixed it all together. Idk it was oddly satisfying 😆 And that first white mica was gorgeous!! 🙀

So how long does the potion bottle last? Is it flammable or dangerous? Do you only use alcohol or do you add some water as well
@CookingandCraftChick5 ай бұрын
@@xoshelbycatherineox I recommend you check out my tips and tricks video where I answer all kinds of questions about potions. But, yes you can also use distilled water and either a tiny bit of alcohol or glycerin. As long as your potions are in a room that is not too hot or too sunny and you’ve used the correct type of cork, etc.. Your potion should last for years and years. 😊 kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZPPoXujiK2nZ8U

This potion is so fun and unique with the bead bubbles. I also really love that you added the label with the ingredients and uses on the back. I’ve been thinking it would be great to make all of my potion bottles have details of ingredients and uses. Question for ya. Where in the books or movies does this potion come up? I don’t remember this specific love potion in the HO or FB stories
@CookingandCraftChick Жыл бұрын
It’s technically a Weasley wizard wheezes wonder witch line potion.

@@CookingandCraftChick oh thanks. Is it different than their other love potion product from the movies that Hermione grabs or the same one?

@@anroley it’s different. That one was cupids crystals (I have a video on that one too) there are several love potions in that line.

With your labels on Avery paper do you need to put anything to seal on it or the printing doesn’t come off? I was thinking Modge podge, but if they don’t rub off if accidentally wet then that would save me tons of time!
@CookingandCraftChick Жыл бұрын
If the label accidentally gets wet, you may get some water droplets with ink fade (not a ton since I use the shipping label style that have some resistance to water). If you are printing it with an inkjet printer the ink is more susceptible to this. Now, if you print it with a laser jet printer, the ink is a lot less likely to have issues with getting wet. Sealing it with mod podge does work well.

How much mica powder do you add to the alcohol?
@CookingandCraftChick Жыл бұрын
It just depends I usually start with a decent scoop and see if I think it’s enough you can always add more it’s not easy to take it out.

i have just started making potions and have used just plain water. however i have take super glue and completely coated my corks as i put them in and then i use hot glue on top. what is your opinion on this? thanks for you input
@CookingandCraftChick5 ай бұрын
@@amymassey3564 you may get some cloudiness or “floaties” in your potions down the line; but you may not. A lot depends on the quality of your tap water. Which is why if I use water it is distilled water with a tiny bit of alcohol or glycerin to keep it clean. Your corks should be good 😊
