Beguine on a drum kit by John Tayler

John Tayler demonstrates Beguine played with sticks on a drum kit. Please take look at the video with notation, if unsure how it goes.
Recorded during lesson in Footes Music Shop in Golden Square, London in June 2012.
The shop has been relocated to 41 Store Street, WC1E 7DB nearby Goodge Street tube station.
All videos were recorded as a single take. John Tayler has played drums over 65 years and he taught over 36 years at Footes which made him unmatched drum tutor. I have been privileged to have had lessons over the last 2 years. John has now moved to Japanese city Takayama-shi and building a studio there to continue passing on his masterful kit drumming craft.
I'm sharing some of tens of exercises John taught me and I'm sure countless number of students will be grateful for this tribute, as no one had shared John's lessons online so far.

This isn't really beguine. This is a rhumba.

The beguine is similar to the rumba; both can have a 'ta-tadala - ta ta'.. rhythm. I think the bass drum pattern on beats 1, 3 and 4 makes it a Beguine in this case.

Leicester Drum School i Can confirm, this Is not beguine at all! Beguine Come from Martinique and i am from Martiinique so you can trust me. To have the real rythm look for "fanfan biguine" for example.
