Explore the intersection of Buddhism & Bhakti with Be Here Now Network teachers and guests at the inaugural Love Serve Remember Summer Mountain Retreat August 25th - 29th in Boone, NC: www.ramdass.org/event/lsrf-su...

“Any model of whether this is hard or easy is just another thought. All the metaphors I suggest are just more thoughts. Let them arise, notice them, go back to the breath.” - Ram Dass

I discovered Ram Dass on the eve of his transition to the “ah so…” and have been a devotee ever since. Longing to one day meet Him until I soon realized He has been within me and without me the whole damn time. Just understand that you are loved beyond whatever you think think you are could ever imagined because we are one in the same. 🙏🏾

The news of his death came lately. I had a wordless encounter with Ram Dass at an early Rainbow Gathering. While playing on a log across a stream, a shakuhachi, he listened for a minute or two, but I dislike any interruptions, so I did not stop playing or glance at him. He bowed and left. When I finished my playing, I bowed to the empty spot he had stood...

Our emotions are triggered when our desires are not met or satisfied. Intellectuals avoid social gatherings due to fear of being out of control. Meditation has its limitations; enlightenment is possible when our mind is awake, its desire is to understand the causes of our emotions. Freedom from hate and anger is possible when we understand them.

If the world did not behave this way, if people did not teach children to be something other than what they are, imagine the planet. We know as children we are being lied to but we had no chance as we lacked life experience to cope, we needed to be dependent to survive. Its a very sad place and I wonder why people have children ... then I realised, its for the parents to feel secure, someone to be there for them, not parents for you, its why parents allow the system to take responsibility then blame everyone else, its never the parents fault ... it’s exhausting to be anything but who you are.

In this dimension it seems that you have to experience being who you are not and all of the attendant suffering that goes along with that before you can discover who you really are. Just part of life in this plane of existence. Part of the Earth School curriculum.

I have this dilemma where no matter what I seemingly do other than sleep I am unable to forget that i am breathing.. I think it's a somatic obsession. It is very distressing and I find myself wanting often nothing more than for it to go on unconsciously as It used to.

Not a single person has ever clicked a Ram Dass video and wanted to not hear Ram Dass. Please stop adding your “intros”, they’re not relevant and not what people want when they click a Ram Dass video. Make your own videos, and if people want to listen they will. But this feels dishonest and weird to add your thoughts when no one asked. Thank you

Bruh ,the retreat is 1,000 something dollars .I thought spirituality was free 😂i was looking forward to going but if its really that expensive thats crazy actually.Ill just talk to ramdass through my heart ...Like you guys say anyways ,any method is trap and going and paying for this expensive retreat just reads trap all over it to me ,like would i really get closer to god by paying for love and spiritual guidance,if anything i feel like it would take people further away from source feeling the need to drops thousands to be in a place of love .First off i dont have that kind of money and second off if i went i could just camp or stay in my van ,is that free or is there a fee just to listen to you guys ramble about things i probably already know .I just wanted to go to be in the presence of such beautiful beings who got to be with ramdass ,thats literally all i wanted .Please respond if i got something wrong on prices and if i did i apologize.
