I needed this. It's hard when all your loved ones are living in adharma and caught up in themselves. I want to help them but all I can do is work on my own practice. All I can do is be.

My contemplation is like a dripping faucet. The everyday movie playing out more beautifully with every contemplation. The release of doer ship bringing me closer to myself. The only want that shines in my heart is the dissolution of the I that I thought I was. Knowing full well that method is another trap. Now a matter of time, I constantly see my guru in every form. Conversing with it in the most loving way. The path inward clearing. When you knock on the door to heaven the way through the gates is to shout it was all me.
@MiladyToxic3 жыл бұрын
Where did you learn that
@XbusydX3 жыл бұрын
There are ways to push yourself out of form. The process that follows is the light that shines on what you are. Everything in life is a method that can be used to overcome what you are. Identification with your physical form is the same as holding a single hair up to the entire universe and saying "i am the Hair" when really you are everything but the hair. I did something really foolish.
@user-fg3fv9hl3b2 жыл бұрын
That was beautiful. My practice 10 years in now is starting to get to your level of what you describe and it's truly amazing how powerful spiritual practices are. Only place I want more clarity is your last sentence in your comment right above this. everything BUT yourself is you? I can maybe see what you're talking about but curious why you exclude the body and mind currently incarnated into.
@XbusydX2 жыл бұрын
In that example my language was not clear. A better way to make my point would be to say this. “ it’s not me in the universe, it’s just universe” abandoning your self into the self is the key. The release of all doorship by knowing the universe is already complete. The universe could not be an expression of the self unless the self already fully exists. Compassion is born in the knowledge that every set of eyes you look into is you incarnated in the next one.

Very early lecture by Baba Ram Dass when he was still known and using "Baba". Later he dropped the "Baba" as a personal reference, too Holy Man for him, he also dropped the robes (which he called "a dress" ). In the last minutes he is reading a letter written to him from his former guide to Maharaji, the American surfer from Laguna Beach, Bhagwan Das - long before BD fell out of Ram Dass's favor. Notice, he does not mention Bhagwan Das by name. He does not refer to Maharaji by name. So, this may be before the Bindu-To-Ojas box, the precursor to the book Be Here Now, is written. If that is correct, this lecture was one of his first North American lectures after his first trip to India, in 1967. So thisis very likely a 1968 talk, but could be as early as 1967, but i doubt that, because of the number of people I feel in his audience, and the talk is recorded on tape, which indicates that he is already known to the public, however rarified.

I'm a Hindu who grew up in Nainital right next to Neem Karoli Baba's ashram / Kainchi Dham. Although I was and still am in total awe of Neem Karoli Baba, I find Ram Dass's quite pontifical. I would much rather listen to Alan Watts..

The real goal of life is to overcome the error prone desire filled ego and the hypnotized polluted mind..to seek within (learn meditation), to find,exprience & be identified with the immortal soul,the true Self, and merge with Spirit,the Source from which it came...for this very incredible journey one needs an enlightened being,a true teacher, a God-realized master who has attained the state of soul liberation

How do you know the man with the letter wasn't simply hallucinating?
@debramoss22677 жыл бұрын
