I have to agree with Mr. Marko. I don't think there is any especially conservative mindset in extreme metal that isn't true of other genres of underground music. In all genres of underground music there is a mentality of being true and getting rid poseurs and people who don't respect the values held by the people in those genres. You see this in Punk and even in genres unrelated to rock such as Industrial and Underground/Hardcore Rap. There is nothing I see wrong with this mentality I don't think. I think its admirable to care about authenticity and the values of the underground and getting rid of poseurs. It shows that we care and appreciate music more than the casual listener. "If you are a false don't entry The nuclear drums will crush your brain Because you'll be burned and died Slaughtering all with intensive pain" - Sarcofago

Killer conversation, thanks for sharing this with us. This came out a lot better and more interesting than most interviews because of how authentic and down to earth Marko is. That is not a knock on you because ive enjoyed your interviews as well, you two had great chemistry and i really appreciated that you gave him time to speak and didnt talk over him. That is something that most people get wrong when interviewing folks, especially with more inquisitive and soft spoken individuals that actually take time to think about what they are going to say instead of blurting stuff out. I've known it for awhile since we've been friends online for quite sometime, but it is great to see someone that doesnt take themselves too serious that they become a parody but at the same time has a good sense of humor that you can tell is genuinely a good person that you wouldnt be totally ashamed of knowing like some other clown shows in the extreme metal world. Yes you can be one of the pioneers of an extreme genre of music and still like other types of music, being super close minded and only liking one thing is fucking dumb. God fathers of killer music tend to be fans of music first and foremost so thanks for shedding this light and fucking hell, an intimate Beherit live set under a full moon in the dark somewhere next to the ocean or water would be amazing!!

One of the best interviews on the channel and Marko is so down to earth, love his views and how he is open to different music worlds, and in my experience i think it is totally possible, i have first listened to metal than to electronic music and now i am enjoying both and i found there are many simillarities in those styles, especially between ambient and some underground genres of trance and techno and Black metal, they are creating the same repetitive trance state, i would call that feeling walking through spritual planes. Also i am not suprised Marko says for himself that he is agnostic, because of that he is opened minded and has many interests in his life, also big like for his interest in Buddhism and meditation.
