These speculators make these market liquid for everyone to be able to buy or sell merchandise at anytime. When you take them out, you lose the tight spread of buyers and seller that allow for the most efficient price at anytime when it is needed.
@life_of_riley886 ай бұрын
You also lose your futures market, and with no futures liquidity, producers will struggle to make forward contracts. This has many ill effects that the average person can't see until they experience the higher cost of less efficient markets. We need speculators, they actually produce stability and ensure less dramatic price vacuum situations on a day to day basis.

How 🤷🏻♂️ this is fundamental trading the very top as you have seen even the physical product…. some may just trade news events or political announcements. These big guys are just using the markets to hedge against their initial investment. Trading with trend lines and patterns is a technical trader you are spotting patterns in a market using technical analysis to create a probable edge ….this is why the saying goes 99% of ( retail ) traders fail this is because they are using technical analysis which when fundamentals come into play is irrelevant. The trend line is pointless on oil if Saudi Arabia suddenly holt production.

@@causey238999% of traders don't fail because of market forces. They fail because they don't understand what it means to think in probabilities, they fail because they cannot disconnect the trade from the outcome, they fail because they attempt to be profitable on a trade by trade basis. . .not a series of trades basis. Passive technical trading is completely contradictory to all of the skills that people use in their everyday life. It's mostly a psychological game, NOT a technical, or analysis game, and most people don't understand this.

Its worse here, our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.

Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year.
