Behind Closed Doors: A film about corruption in high places and those who enable it. Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) are people who hold a public function and as a result present higher risks of being involved in bribery or corruption. Offshore leaks have revealed repeatedly that PEPs use British
finance and British offshore jurisdictions to launder their wealth, hide their wealth and re-invest that wealth back into the global financial system. London is the place where they buy property, where they take legal action against their critics and where they live when they fall from grace. But what happens
when a developing country fights back and attempts to get Britain to return the money that it claims has been stolen?

@@marmar7255They do this to themselves … how? By not rising in revolt and risking their lives fighting against foreign backed military and police armed with modern western weapons? By being reluctant to risk organizing against and then confronting the corrupt “conservative” foreign capitalist businessmen who support the domestic regimes that oppress them? They “deserve” it because they don’t throw themselves into open conflict with this level of opponent? Or do they “deserve” it in the sense that they’re not immediately willing to risk the kind of political punishment and global propagandistic condemnation they know they risk facing as “terrorists” even if they do achieve any level of success, like the Mau Mau, and, say, the Castro government of Cuba? Or even the democratically elected Alende government in Chile, deposed by CIA backed military junta and a program of kidnapping of loyal Chilean generals, and other crimes OK’d by Kissinger and Nixon. These “conservatives” are the kind of people you’re up against the fact patriotic egalitarian pro-democracy egalitarian / socialists are not always quick to risk their lives for the cause is not surprising. The fact is our North American and Western European bourgeois comfort is purchased at the price of these peoples lives and oppression and fear. It’s us that doesn’t deserve them.

There's corruption in every country, not just the poor countries. The more money, the more greed. It's just more angering when it happens in poor countries. Also, rich countries are more 'savy' about how they go about corrupting, like legally owning stocks in warmanufacturing companies, for then to instigate/perpetuate wars.

An excellent & complete lesson on 3rd world politics! 1. Procure power by support of UK imperialism, 2. Siphon off national funds to London & other friendly western nations, 3. To appeal to sympathizers, learn to cry & project blame onto others, in your local language as a victim when busted for corruption, exploitation of the nation, & money laundering. British Monarchy benefited from 3rd world nations' wealth for nearly a century & then promptly passed the torch on to British corp.s & US to continue the exploitation, while the blame is conveniently laid on a local politician, who is of course fully sheltered in the UK. Gotta love it! Isn't western democracy just wonderful in keeping the West rich!

Arshad Sharif was not shot and killed by Kenyan police; he was slain by Pakistan's Establishment and influential Pakistani corrupt politicians so that no one could follow him to expose them in the future. They made him an example for other Pakistani journalists.

Im from the USA and lived in Eastern Africa Tanzania for two years.. Made me really wake up to how the world is and how much greed corrupts. They were some of the hardest working and smartest people ive met yet when you see the money being siphoned off through politicians you realize they're robbing their own citizens of opportunity to grow for themselves and their country.

It’s heartbreaking and so sad,my only consolation is we’re only here for a very short time compared to eternity and they can’t take their ill begotten gains with them,I wouldn’t like to be in their shoes on judgement day, they won’t be allowed in the presence of god, unless they repent

It has been said that the *ULTIMATE TEST OF CHARACTER* is *WHAT WOULD A PERSON DO* if they *KNEW THEY WOULD NEVER GET CAUGHT* The Greed of Gehazi 20But Gehazi, the servant of Elisha, the man of God, said to himself, “My master should not have let this Aramean get away without accepting any of his gifts. As surely as the LORD lives, I will chase after him and get something from him.” 21So Gehazi set off after Naaman. When Naaman saw Gehazi running after him, he climbed down from his chariot and went to meet him. “Is everything all right?” Naaman asked. 22“Yes,” Gehazi said, “but my master has sent me to tell you that two young prophets from the hill country of Ephraim have just arrived. He would like 75 poundsd of silver and two sets of clothing to give to them.” 23“By all means, take twice as muche silver,” Naaman insisted. He gave him two sets of clothing, tied up the money in two bags, and sent two of his servants to carry the gifts for Gehazi. 24But when they arrived at the citadel,f Gehazi took the gifts from the servants and sent the men back. Then he went and hid the gifts inside the house. 25When he went in to his master, Elisha asked him, “Where have you been, Gehazi?” “I haven’t been anywhere,” he replied. 26But Elisha asked him, “Don’t you realize that I was there in spirit when Naaman stepped down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to receive money and clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and cattle, and male and female servants? 27Because you have done this, you and your descendants will suffer from Naaman’s leprosy forever.” When Gehazi left the room, he was covered with leprosy; his skin was white as snow. 2 KINGS 5: 20-27 NLT

@annedoyle222 scripture says the evil get their reward on earth because they only live once. After death their soul is also snuffed out. While those of God live for an eternity.

@@annedoyle222You're only consolation is DOING NOTHING? You work for CIA? If yiu don't you can speak out against his. They crooked blacks remind me of DNC Blacks. However, its possible this family is threatened with assassination if they don't keep the wealth to then use the income to SUPPORT Tyranny and corruption in other parts of the world as well as in Kenya. In other words...this rich Kenyan family is a front for white imperialism around the world. YOU FORGOT THAT ANGLE DIDNT YOU? Corse you did.

Happens even in communities. People out to pull the wool over others, take from others to advance themselves. Same in families. So many when a will is likely to appear.

The fact that South Africa is practically a failed state now is a good example. Zuma encouraged stone age witchcraft thinking as it helped him redirect billions from infrastructure projects to himself and his family.

It is not surprising that a country like Britain that still has a Monarchy rooted in ancient anachronic customs, would continue doing these sort of corrupt activities. It is part of the mindset to fall into these practices.

The corruption begins in Pakistan, and the other countries that are mentioned. They don't get a free pass. Perhaps the fabulously wealthy corrupt oligarchs who flee to London bribe key persons there to protect their wealth ? It's about individuals like Kenyatta and the Shariffs who use enablers in different countries.
