I finally got to see this ride two weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It is way more incredible in person.

The videos don't do this ride justice. It's one of those things that you have to see to believe

This is really cool! So much history and photo references is loaded into this incredible video! Also, it would be cool if you guys did this for more of the surviving Tracy rides like Trimper’s Haunted House for example. I love this approach to seeing classic rides like this upclose.

I really appreciate it. The Trimper's Haunted House is actually one of my top bucket list dark rides to explore but my travels are a bit more regional right now and not necessarily ready for long distance trips as of yet

Great video! It was amazing see you at the park today near Whirlwind, my brother was also excited to take a photo with you. It's nice to see someone else appreciate waldameer and I've been watching your videos for some time, good content. (Especially the traveling ones! As someone that's one of their hyperfixations is road trips and like routes, seeing the different Erie routes is cool)

It was awesome to meet up with you at whirlwind and take a picture with you! Too bad my ride on the coaster wasn't the best. As for the travelling videos, Amusement Drive-Thru is a great filler series and the more I do it, the more fun it gets to find creative routes in and around Erie and beyond to get to parks and share some of my favorite music.

I rode the one in Wichita (LONG before the park closed and became a vandal-relic - including the shack burning down from arson). I look forward to the Penn version (which had a few different features and modifications - the front dip particularly). Thanks for the most recent (and comprehensive) footage of something on my bucket list (I first rode it shortly after it opened in the early 70s). Subbed and liked' of course! I love the gals doing a complete system rundown most of all. Very cool! Oddly enough the block-zone diagram doesn't mesh with the KS ver - it had 2 coaster dips - the first past the tunnel.

I am glad that I can give you the most up to date footage of the inner workings of the only Whacky Shack left in operation and one of seven Bill Tracy dark rides remaining in operation. The Joyland Whacky Shack was one of my most sought after rides as a kid and the POVs didn't do justice but I'm sad I can't ride it after the arson of '08. And thank you for realizing Whacky Shack indeed has block zones, some of my fans don't believe me but it's all in the operations of the ride.

Bill Tracy is the person who voiced whacky shack your welcome

There is no proof. The voiceover was done in 1992 and Bill Tracy died in '74. No one knows not even Waldameer knows
@specstheanimator82222 жыл бұрын
Although I'd love for that to be true, bill tracy died in '74 from heart disease, and the audio was added in '92, so nobody, not even the GM of the park, knows who did the voice. It will forever remain a mystery

I got my season pass and I'm going today for the first time of year 2022!, also if I possibly see you, would you mind me saying hello and taking a photo? :)

I will be there only for a few hours from 11-2:30 to ride and then I got dinner later. I'll be filming so if you see me, say hi and take a picture :)
