Behind Crimson Eyes - DEAD.DROP.DEAD (Visualizer)

Behind Crimson Eyes proudly announces the release of their first single in 7 years: “DEAD.DROP.DEAD” - A dark and heavy blend of metalcore and melodic post-hardcore that is reminiscent of their debut album “A Revelation For Despair,” but with a modern twist.
The song is a raw and intense exploration of the daily battles many of us face with our mental health; particularly anxiety, depression and the resulting self-destructive behaviour that typically follows.
Lyrics like “Good god, I'm my own worst enemy. My best friend is my own bitter misery” highlight that although we can be aware of the dire situation we are in, we can often feel powerless to stop it, and at times embrace the pain as inevitable.
The song paints a vivid picture of the darkness that can envelop us, the sense of bleeding out emotionally, and the spinning chaos that can result. Yet, despite the heavy subject matter, the outro serves as a powerful declaration of defiance against these destructive impulses, ending with a resolute "No, Fuck that."
Produced and recorded by the talented Ionei Heckenberg of Ocean Sleeper, this song serves as an appetiser for a future EP, marking the final time Behind Crimson Eyes release music.
