you all should listen to the Tape Notes Podcast featuring The 1975. George and Matty sit down and deconstruct three tracks from ABIIOR and you get to hear more of George. George is a producer, so talking about the making of songs is where he shines. People interviewing want to know about the lyricist, so that’s why Matty speaks out more. According to Adam, his favorite lyric is “RIFFS!!!!” because that’s all he does. Rip sick riffs on the guitar. And Ross just vibes and talks about lighting the wrong end of your cigarette. I use to be bothered by Matty taking over, but now I understand and love each of them for their role they play.
