This was actually really really good. I was expecting just some random list nonsense but the documentary style was so much better. More please.

I was a modelist once, not a pro, but a good one and I enjoyed each and every model I made. These guys are doing an astonishing job (especially the ones who worked in older movies) and have all my respect and simpathy even though they are not recognized, just their names in the end credits. But I guess they really love their job. I got nothing against cgi but, being old fashioned, I truly think that miniature models make you feel you are truly watching something that really looks real.

Pretty sure 2001 predates MoCo entirely and there were no copyright issues with the Millennium Falcon. It was simply that after building the original model (later refitted to become the Rebel Blockade Runner Tantive IV) the effects team said it looked like the Eagle from Space 1999.

The " copyright " issue that Lucas had with the original design of the Falcon was that it looked almost identical to the Eagle Transporter from Space 1999
@huntercressall97283 жыл бұрын
Agreed. No one outside of "The Star Wars Special Effects Company" even saw it before being refitted. Lucas just didn't want people to later claim it was a rip-off.

When you add cg over models it makes it look like full cg. Hogwarts always looked like cg and independence day almost looks completely cg.

Well that's 14 minutes of my life I'm not getting back. How could you not talk about the miniatures used in the greatest non-animated movie ever made and my 3rd favorite movie of all-time behind the Nightmare Before Christmas and Frozen, James Cameron's Titanic?! That was the whole reason I clicked on this video, that and Hogwarts which you spent 2 seconds on. I thought for sure Titanic would be in here, and was interested in Hogwarts because I didn't know it was a miniature. But of course the overrated Star Wars took the spotlight again and got the most screen time and discussion compared to everything else! No Titanic and barely any Hogwarts! There better be a part 2 to this, covering more movies like Titanic! This was a huge waste of my time!

Star Trek the classic pictures, much better than the new ones done with Cgi, apart from the horrible direction and scripts.
