I am still baffled by the wiring on it and want to know but so I can improve. Any insights into how they specifically achieved it?

Bret Gibson Hi, I can probably help you with that question. In what parts are you referring to? The location, actual wiring skills or what.

They include the wiring in our design. For example, when CADing their drive base, they know where to put the roborio and PDP, and ensure that all the wires have a place to route through.

Like what Jeff Jeff said, that is pretty much how it goes. If you look on our elevator mechanism, you can see a hole where we put all our wires for the top part of the robot. Because all our wires are in there, it keeps it protected from outside damage and organized. Other than having a covering like metal for the wiring, just make sure you know what is going where and how to execute that the best way possible in a pre plan.

@@emilianohansen9859 Ok thanks, if that's the case then I think I had more problems with design integration this year. The reason being is because I had to work around certain parts of the design and figure out how to route given what I had. It would seem that closely working with design initially is the way to go. The only problem I have with that is you are putting all the pressure on design at the beginning of the build season and you don't exactly know how you want to wire it until you see what the design/mechan team is planning on doing.

@@jeffjeff5850 Ok thanks, I am pretty sure that's where we struggled this year, integration of not just the electrical components but the wiring itself into the design. We pretty well with component placement but it's just the wire routing/situation.

Any drivetrain details? You used WCD it seems, buth with standard KOP or something custom?

Rpadiper From what I know, it’s a custom wcd with a custom 2 speed gig shifter gearbox. I’m not sure about the wheels or any specific details, but you should be able to see those one they release their technical binder.
