Not bad, not bad at all. Yes on the behind the scenes. Its interesting to see two different specialists work together. Your channel has something unique, keep it up.

One of the best car channels on youtube. Normal cars that i can relate to. Cheap and reliable..

This channel brings me back to fixing and flipping cars with friends. Such a chill format. Thanks for bringing us for the ride dude. This channel is as real as it gets when working on cars. When you don't know something or don't have a tool, you just call and ask a buddy.

As an 18 year old who has done basic maintenance such as control arms and CV axils, I really really enjoy the behind-the-scenes content. I want to learn how do the more difficult jobs like an oil pump or a head gasket. I think it would be alot of fun to work along side someone like you. Purely for the knowledge and skills that you gain from doing these projects. I have wanted to fliping cars. THE RIGHT WAY (I live in alaska and i rolled my 91 yota pickup into the ditch last winter LOL) But I've always wanted to be able to buy a fixer-upper and turn it back into a roadworthy vehicle. Just like what you did that the forester "give it anoither life" so to speak. I appreciate your mentality. You do the job right even if it takes anoter trip tpo the auto store. Being genuine and not screwing the next guy over but actualy making their life easier with a reliable vehicle. BTW i like that you pointed out that fram filters are just fine IF you change your oil LOL. I run fram filters and change them every 5-6k miles.

I stumbled across your channel a few weeks ago. I think you're the most "real" dude on KZbin. I enjoy your videos and am going back watching all the previous ones too. Keep up the good work.💯
@understandthepeaches102518 күн бұрын
Love videos like this. So many KZbinrs start like this then “make it” then their videos turn into high production playing around in expensive toys. Westin Champlain comes to mind. Keep showing us the dirty BTS work!! Nice job!

4:11. One of many reasons I don't go to some shops. I had a tire warranty at a shop, which came in handy when I got a flat. At that same shop I have a tire rotation warranty. I needed a rotation but I decided to do it myself. It had been over a year since I interacted with that shop and I didn't know who was working there. Personal tire rotation went great, it just took some time since I only have 2 jack stands.

I’ve been keeping beaters going for years, a fleet of them. Some people are weird obsessed about oil/filter brands. What I know is that for street vehicles changing oil/filter frequently is much more important than the brand of oil. If you read most owners manuals oil change frequency is 4 x annually and every 5k, in extreme conditions. Which is most of Canada and many places in the states. I just had a dealership tell me oil change in 10 k for 5.3 GM. But when you read the fine print on the warranty it says you must change the oil every 5 k to have a valid warranty. Dealers are in the business of selling vehicles, not keeping them running for 300k. Extreme conditions for fluid service is defined in the back of the owners manual.

I never turn rotors because there isn't a shop where I live that even does that anymore, you can buy new rotors for literally less than what it costs to have a machine shop turn them.

Fram oil filters are just super low quality filters, lots of them don't have functional oil bypass valves or their missing them entirely. So instead of your oil being filtered is bypassing full time. Merry Christmas Colin, hope your doing good man.

i must ask why did you replace the cv over a torn boot. I understand it could have been gnarly inside if the grease had been vacant for awhile, however I have gotten away with new boots, grease, and clamps just fine thus far, oem matched boots anyway.
