Ditto! Even when I can't have the real thing and have to make do with modellers or plugins, I always pull up a Marshall. Even for my cleans. When I discovered just how awesome a JCM800 can be for cleans... it was game over. My ultimate favorite setup so far is a Super Lead running Greenbacks and Heso Demons along with a JCM800 running Vintage 30s and Eminence DV-77s in stereo all the time. It gets the best of both vintage and modern tones. I'd have the Super Lead set up with a very mid heavy sound and the 800 more mid scooped and saturated. When you stand dead center of that sonic onslaught, woah! Hours and hours and hours would go by before I'd put my guitar down.

Jim Marshall used to buy newspapers from my parents Newsagents in Bletchley in the 60’s. They said he was a very polite man. They call it Milton Keynes now, but it’s still Bletchley.

The amp I learned to play on was a 70's non master volume JMP50 2 x 12 combo. As I improved my guitar teacher let me progress to his 60's JTM45 and then 80's JCM800. This was mid 2000's so basically like learning to drive in a vintage Maserati, but these were his working amps. I'm the proud owner of a Steve Rouse built, pure P2P JTM45 with original 60's Dagnall iron which took me 7 years of constant badgering of my guitar teacher to sell me it.

@maxd Not sure what you even mean by Marshall getting back to making products for players ??? Marshall makes amps for all kinds of players from someone who will never leave their bedroom to pro's who play small club gigs every night to those who play large stages. Some players want simple bare bones amps while others want multiple channels and all kinds of bell and whistles. Personally I'd like to see them build more higher quality old school type amps but those don't come cheap and price matters to people so I would imagine it's always a rather difficult balance between price, profits, and what the final product ends up being.
