How does t-stud compare, thermal and cost, to metal studs?

In what type of construction application Jay? Residential or Commercial? The BareNaked Tstud doesn’t compare to metal studs as the design of Tstud is to provide a thermal break. Steel has a thermal bridge. Steel studs have different gauges and pricing. We would love to quote your project. Obviously the “effective” R Value of a wall with metal studs and batt insulation is significantly lower than even 2x construction using wood members. So the goal of the BareNaked Tstud Wall Assembly is to make the effective R Value as near to 100% as possible. Cost wise - lots of factors will decide that.

@@thermalstuds I'm planning building a tiny house-starting with 8'x16'. I like the lightweight and consistency of metal studs, but would definitely need to continuous-wrap the exterior with some sort of rigid insulation-mineral wool or poly.

Vertical/Limited picture incredibly annoying but great info. I hope to build my retirement home one day with the T-Stud.

As far as I know, foam only off-gasses at high enough temps
