@@NeVeRLiFt I literally played the DLC beta before this was released. The issues with the dogs occurred at a high level, one I wasn’t able to reach in the time allotted.

@@BoAngles the game has many game crashing bugs brought with the DLC... there was no testing and EW does not care to do proper QA and it shows... instead of rushing out DLC like this, EW should focus on fixing the many bugs plaguing the game.

@@NeVeRLiFt I don’t know why you keep saying that there was no testing... I was literally one of the people who tested this DLC a month before it was released. It’s difficult to test everything in the game when the game is so large, which is why every update brings on some sort of problem. They’ve already addressed issues that they are fixing on their discord.

I absolutely love this game. The addition of the dogs takes the game to a new level. My dogs name is Guinness and he is my buddy. When I’m not hunting in real life, I’m hunting on COTW. Just PLEASE fix the bugs!!

I think they revealed that there are going to be pointer dogs and Labradors, seeing that those were the two dog species I saw wearing the animation suit, thing, in this video.

I'd love to see it on COTW right now ... 1 - Support for the interface on 21:9 monitors. 2 - Greater visibility for animals over a long distance. Something like 1km +. 3 - The Martini-Henry Rifle.

@@NotReallyLaraCroft Well you gotta at least appreciate their DLC prices compared to the majority of the games out there as there’s plenty of games that price their dlc at the same f**king price of the base game or higher. And how is this company greedy? The dogs legit cost $3 which is easy to obtain with at least 1-2 hours of working a job. Their DLC aren’t exactly useless either, They include new Guns are more then 6 new species to hunt including gorgeous maps like Yukon that changes weather. So calling them “Greedy” and “Useless” is a tad much, maybe you either haven’t played more then 50 hours or are one of those inpatient people that doesn’t know how to appreciate things.

They did everything right apart from including the most important natural ability every dog has with a nose on this planet regardless of its breed, the ability to pick up a live animal scent and track it (some better than others depending on training & specific breed) as unfortunately they only programmed the dog in the game to follow a blood trail.

Love the dogs they look so good but I payed $4 for it and within 20 minutes discovered that with the bugs with the codex and the possibility that I could lose all my progress I can’t play the game I love this game with all my heart but the constant bugs with every new release makes me seriously worry what will break next.

Congrats on a great game. As a hunter, this game is a fun way to get through the off season. Only thing missing for me is getting some meat from the harvest. Cook / eat by a fire and share with my dog Caesar ! lol

You play offline, am i right? At a certain point in the leveling progress of your dog it will stop picking blood trails. They said that they are working on it and for now all you can do is play singleplayer online so the dog can syncronize with the cloud...update will probably come after the easter weekend

My blood hound is very broken rn when I hit lvl 15 for tracking it gave me 2 lvls now its stuck at lvl 16 dosen't gain xp for tracking and only way it follows blood is if I'm already on the trial but it walks like 0.01km/hr

With his companion rating and traits maxed my dog would still walk in front of me, even when I'm creeping and / or have a weapon out. He'd still bump into me - sometimes while I'm aiming. And yes... I started telling him to lay down at such moments. I've never hunted so I've no idea how a real hunting dog behaves but I can't imagine such behavior would not be trained out of any dog worth taking along. For these reasons I only pull him out - of my magic tent - when I need help finding a non-vital. I sure hope they haven't finished developing the dog AI.

Next on the list would be German short haired pointer that will introduce a new mechanic to the game which is upland birds(pheasants,partridges,quails,ptarmigans etc...) And the dog will point at the bushes where the birds are and after a short moment the bird gets out of it's bush and flies away and that would be really cool to actually use the shotguns because right now ....meh it's just for turkeys and geese . after that will be the retrievers (Labrador or maybe even newfoundland that would be interesting) after giving the duck hunting a revamp. Last we need dogs that can go drive the animals to you and that's it.

Thaks for adding dogs to the game. It really makes a big difference (especially when playing without hud/visual clues). The only things I feel are missing, are a "Come here" command, to make the dog come face you, ready for close interactions. ALso a few different "play" animations would be welcome :) Thanks for making such jaw dropping environments - I stop all the time joust to enjoy the view or the details.

Didn't you see those in the video? I bet! They are testing the basic skills now. Like with the lodges. A 'basic' one and than a new one more detailed with new features. I bet they will do the same with dogs. Since we have them now they can develop over time. :)

I am waiting for the breton dog beacouse its a small and usefull dog for the hunting trips i have 2 bretons and they are used to hunt smaller animals like birds and foxes when they stop up and put their tail down slowly it tells me hey theres something up there so be avare and i am just asking for breton or bigle
