Great video... I'm learning English from it. But why did the background turn out overexposed? I doubt that such shots would come out with my 70-200 2.8.
@KobusTollig1 Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comment. Photography is an art form and therefore it's left to the artist how they would like to expose a photo. In this case if I wanted detail on the background I would have to use a flash and I did not want to in this shoot. The 70-200 is a very good lens and you should get very similar results.

Thank you so much for your videos. I'm curious if you needed to change your ISO a lot, or could it stay at 800 the whole shoot? Looking forward to more videos!
@KobusTollig14 жыл бұрын
My pleasure and thank you for taking the time to comment. The ISO depends on the location you shoot at. So if the location has a lot of shadow areas and exposure changes all the time you might have to. For this shoot I hardly changed for it was out in the open most of the time. I started changing it at sunset and then you have to check it every couple of minutes because it's getting darker. I ended the shoot I think with ISO 6400 on my Canon 5Dmk4

Hi Kobus. Great video, learning so much!! What is your advise on always getting your couple in focus - especially when couples are walking and are slightly apart from each other?
@KobusTollig14 жыл бұрын
Thank you and it's so great that you learning. I use continues focus so that the focus always hunts if that makes sense. If you want both people in you will have to look at f11 or higher but having one in focus who is the "main" subject in the images is perfectly fine.

Generally the video was done well and the directions were great. My only critique is you focus too much on making the female look good and there was little to no direction for the guy, and some shots she looked stunning while he was not very flattering. When you were showing both of them your camera, it was the only time in the video when I saw the guy looking good. I'm sure you did get some in your shoot off camera, but don't forget the guy needs direction too. Despite my comments, I'm sure the couple were very pleased as the photos looked great. And it's not like the guy needed much direction, but I like to add balance in my shots to have a few shots where he's the main focus as a treat for her to appreciate later as well. At least when he was alone, and the shots at the end you did geta few shots of him as the main subject looking great.
