Came across this researching case clamps. How do you all like the Uhling clamp? Also what drilling center are you all using. We bought a used gannomat machine, but it never worked well. We drill on a Maggi horizontal drill and then insert the dowels with a gannomat gun. Our shop is DreamWorks Cabinetry is Fairbanks Alaska. Not really any other commercial shops within a few hundred miles of us. Anyways cool video, thanks for sharing on KZbin

Phillip, thanks for watching and writing in. As for the speed square, I have both the small one that is approx. 8" x 8", and the jumbo one. They are both handy for certain situations. The small one fits in one of the front bags of my construction leather tool belt and pouch combo, and the large one I use of more of a bench tool, although it is really handy when working with 2x10 and 2x12, as well as doing wide lumber rafter layouts or stair stringers. I'd start with the small one, master it, and add to your collection. Hope this helps!

These are cheap ass cabinets, out in the field all the cabinets I see are from real cabinet shops

Thanks for watching and writing. I can't agree with you on the quality of these cabinets. I saw construction of these cabinets all the way from the sheet goods, milling of the parts, using higher grade hardware, and assuring the joints were reinforced and glued securely. With over $1 million dollars in milling, assembling and finishing equipment at this particular shop, and using very skilled craftspeople, I don't think these units are cheaply made. Many of the cabinets I see in the field are the opposite from what you describe. Many are bulk-manufactured units, many times from Asia, and distributed through big-box stores and major cabinet companies. The midsize company featured in the video produced units several steps up, and had contracts for several high-end building projects ranging from residential, office and commercial. Thanks for stopping by! Best, Regards, DFJ

@@DirtFarmerJay I guess I was more referring to the materials used

I agree. They are using the cheapest material because it works best with the CNC machines. I would prefer plywood but they are using what gets them to work faster
