2:39 We can say that Carrie was one of the best-built characters in history - alongside Brody, Saul, Dar Adal and Quinn... It would be possible to clarify the following doubts: - Would you like to see Homeland reveal how the CIA explained Brody in Iran and his death to the American press? - Clearly, Javadi's ability to receive credit for Brody's capture helped his cause in Iran, but did the US government reveal Brody's role in Akbari's murder? - Was your name cleared for the CIA attack? I'd love to know what you think. - Another loose thread: Paul Franklin and the murder of the "real" CIA bomber. He ended up doing that scene ... why ?? Carrie was publicly humiliated, beaten, doped, shot and put her life on the line countless times without hesitation, just to make others see Brody as she saw him ... and she succeeded. Abu Nazir, the CIA, Jessica and the show's own audience, no one came close to seeing Brody with the clarity Carrie has always seen. Carrie has always read Brody like no one else. Ah, Carrie's dialogue with Javadi was incredible, it will be one of the most memorable moments in the series, without a doubt! “And what you wanted, which was for everyone to see what you see in him. That happened. Everyone sees it through your eyes now ... ”[And what you wanted, was for everyone to see what you see in it. That happened. Everyone sees it through your eyes now ...] - How did Carrie see Brody? and how did the US come to see this? It's the world?

Thank you for your intellectual comment, I wonder if you’re a literature professor, or just a former student of an excellent professor who taught critical writing / analysis. Our desks were set up for round table discussions as the 3 best that week were photocopied with professors comments and distributed. Then we discussed by professor asking the students their thoughts on fellow classmates writing and why , and why and how do you see it ? I even had a class where same was done with a film each week vs a novel. That 100-125 pages were to be read and written paper submitted 3x a week . That rare format of a m,w,f vs Tuesday Thursday lended itself well and the capping of students to 25. Learned so much that I took 2 of that professors classes . Second was elective as I had met English requirements for my sociology degree, which in of itself is mostly critical thinking essays with 2 statics classes required. Amazing learning experience and I’m projecting my dedication to my brilliant professors from New Haven, CT , that taught me to forevermore look at film or these well written (use to only be HBO and showtime) series with my critical analysis running in the back of my mind as I enjoy the story on screen simultaneously. Hard to watch simple television when you get hooked on the intellectual side of stellar writers ,directors , producers and actors. Nice that it’s expanded to other streaming services, some of the best television the last 12 years and I hope AI doesn’t completely take over. The Americans was also excellent and ex CIA that I know loved it more than homeland because of accuracy no lose ends, those questions you brought up occurred in their writing and you really cared deeply for the characters in the Americans as they built up their complexity, layer upon layer each season.

I don't see why a lot of critics have been bashing the second season. It wasn't as good as the first one (which was near-perfect as far as I'm concerned), but it's still one of the best shows on TV.
@Okkara-q3b4 жыл бұрын
5:12 The 3rd season did not correspond to the 1st and 2nd as it should be. Compared to most seasons it was weak, as the plot and plot issues that were overlooked or addressed briefly stood out in season 3. There was no "hunting" in Brody's scenes earlier in the season to make it look like he really was desired NOS. Where Roya Hammad and his terrorist partner Mister X... They were? We never received an explanation for the events surrounding how Brody's car was moved and his involvement, only what we got was the "real" author of the bomb at the CIA in a hotel that we must believe to be a super leap that changed the script. For such an investment in storytelling around Brody's family over the past 3 seasons, for him to just disappear the way he did, it was a waste of time - to make Dana's story worse, it was shallow. And all those scenes about Mike and Brody's wife continually in love with each other, and just ending up in season three were useless - and Brody's son disappeared. What about Brody's marine friends who thought he was part of the conspiracy? And Quinn's underutilization throughout the season after being instrumental in the beginning of the second season's premiere. All positive points, they should have made the homeland a show of this 3rd season and address every possible plot! Claire Danes and Damian Lewis gave us, in Damian’s words, “two broken-winged birds sort of hobbling and circling around each other” in Carrie and Brody in such a compelling way that even though it really ended in tears, it was a GREAT RIDE as long as it lasted. And if you miss these two as much as we do, you may want to re-live the LOVE with Carrie and Brody: Was It Love? YES. Homeland had a sensible ending, closed all of Carrie's stories, while continuing the ongoing story of America's and Russia's rivalry. The series ends, but does not end, only better than that was seeing all these years incredible performances by Davis, Damian Lewis, Rupert Friend and Mandy Patinkin ...

It's 96,1%, but that doesn't matter, since there is a big difference between a religion and a nation and even more important that's just what one character of that show said. If you are offended by this show, i feel sorry, but then you're watching the show wrong.

This show is like watching 24 all over again. Still a good show but it needs to reinvent itself as shows like 24 have used the exact same formula (ie: who are the bad guys?, secretive american organization(homeland: CIA, 24:CTU, same kind of twists to the storyline etc). I guess I should have seen this coming as Howard Gordon is one of the writers of this show.

What would this show be if Carrie was an actual, competent, stable, effective CIA analyst instead of a nutcase that draws in sympathy? Honestly, she is pretty cold blooded the way she manipulated Brody ... I don't think that would fly as a show if she was not crazy ... so that seems to be manipulating the audience.
