Miho doesn't use pick but she throws them to the fans at the end of concert as gift. So thoughtful.

Miho is a true metalhead, love the tee (rumored to have a collection of over 500). Still bittersweet to see her all smiles and happy. The pic is a thank you gift she wants the fans to have even though she doesn't use them. LB always appreciate their fans!! Haruna just kills me, she is dropped in behind the rack like an MMA fighter except she hits faster and harder than any of those wimps LOL. She is amazing besides being buried behind that monster kit she gets no shine time and yet drives this group at an insane pace from start to finish. Their are marathon runners who are jealous of her stamina. Loved this as you really get to see the personality of each and how down-to-earth they all are. No ego war, no drugs, no booze no rock star life style, just women dedicated to their craft and each other despite different personalities. How can you not love them after seeing thus. I only wish the rock stars of my youth ,( Hendrix, Morrison, etc) had lived such a healthy lifestyle.

FYI, the only member that drinks alcohol is Miho! Learned from an interview before she left the band.

Interesting video and thanks, as always, for your reaction. I was interested in hearing the similarities and differences between your setup and Harupi's. I didn't hear her talk much about her toms. Seems like she typically keeps to one floor tom and two suspended toms. Although in Heavy Metal Never Dies, I believe she was using three suspended toms. Looks like she's back to two suspended toms in Judgment Day. I wonder if she minimizes her tomz set-up to keep as much in front of her as possible, to facilitate economy of motion, and to avoid lateral movement which a wide Portnoy-style setup requires. Would have been interesting to hear her comment on how she approaches her setup. It was also great to see and hear Miho talk about her gear, especially her effects box. I wonder if she'll ever go to a 5-string bass. So many groups nowadays are using B as a tonal center, requiring an open B as the deepest string in both guitars and basses. I first noticed this with Dream Theater. These days I'm hearing groups like Nemophila make frequent use of the key of B, which lends so much gravitas to their sound.

Thanks! I wish they could've gone a little deeper into Haruna's set as well. I'll take what I get though!

Yeah GMG i think you are right, instead of switching to another bass in a different tuning, Miho uses the Drop pedal to achieve the same result!! Haruna's drum kit!! 🤘🐺🤘I think she uses both bass drums for recording, but for Live mostly only the one. I have a few pictures of her Live setups over the years and it seems she always use the double pedal on one bass drum. Also her beaters are usually sideways so it hits with the plastic instead of the felt!! Thanks for checking this one GMG!! 🤘😊🤘

@GlassMoonGaming I concur!!! A tour around your set up would be awesome!!! As one drummer to another I always love checking out other drummers set ups often I get ideas about maybe trying to rearrange my kit. Sometimes things work out sometimes I need to modify a bit and more often than not I stay as is. The way we as drummers set up is really individual preference and what works best for me may not work for you etc. You know what I mean!!! The biggest thing that changes for me is my cymbal setups always adding something to it and working on my stacks right now. Maybe do your drum "tour" 🥁 as a live stream, and after the tour we could discuss different setups that we use!?!? Just a thought

there are many interview articles for lovebites, but only the following about bassist miho's withdrawal in article. haruna " there have been talks about miho wanting to leave the band for some time. but we all talked a lot and did our best. miho had already turned her eyes away from lovebites, so we felt sorry to keep her. and we accepted her strong request and band then decided to go on hiatus.” ヘドバン・スピンオフ 11

excellent content GMoon-Metal, I love the ladies taste in music, I don't know much about the specs of instruments, but I have watched what goes on in between songs on stage, one thing I noticed from watching hundreds of videos of BABYMETAL, is that, back in the original Kami band when they started most shows with BMD, that BOH would change out his bass after it, then use the second bass for the rest of the show, I am guessing that there is a particular sound in that song that isn't present in the rest of their songs, but I don't think that Kami Clint is switching basses after that song currently on tour.

Far finger adds weight to the head . Best way to describe this on drums the sound on your drums is determined by both the diameter as well as how deep the cylinder, sorry didn't know the technical name. So your Toms can be say a ten by 8, or a ten by ten, or a ten by 12. Thet are all tens so they have the same note, but the thickness of the sound the sustain and the attack are all longer with lthr greater depth.

Miyako was checking out the Martin guitar. Those Re hand made in Pennsylvania, and they typically go for over 10 grand. And there is about a five years wait to buy one because most of them have already been pre-ordered. Very expensive high end, nearly all custom made.

Generally shape of guitar does not effect the sound. Sustain is usually dependent on the weight of the body. Flamenco style guitars have low Sustain but that is compensated for by the faster attack. Which is the time it takes for the string to reach max amplitude. If you tried to play Flamenco on a regular guitar it would sound like mush. Same issue for a bass. Heavier and long Sustain, but the attack is longer so you can't Plat a band fast and still sound good. The main things that affect sound are the pickups amps and tone and volume knobs. And of course effects pedals. The flying V is designed that way to maximize access to the highest frets. So you don't have the wood of the body blocking you from the 23, and 24th frets especially on the low E string which is different to fret at that point without changing your hand position. O. The flying V you don't have that problem, because the body spreads out away instead of towards your palm.
