I made a RoboCop helmet in the 5th grade with a plastic milk container. Use of cardboard was involved :-) I forgot I even did it till I finished watching. Great work!!

I wish I could build physical things, but I was the kid who could barely build lego growing up (inspite of it being a major hobby of mine). I'm good at other creative shit, but I always want to do all the stuff that I'm terrible at, from playing bass, to jewelry making. If nothing else it means that I can appreciate artists from all mediums, and this is a truly marvelous creation. It would be cool if people like you were remaking classics because you obviously love them enough to handle them with care, and you have enough vision to bring new and interesting things to the original concept.

This whole video makes me REALLY want that giant tablet with photoshop. Also, I really loved the robocop cosplay! I will say though that my personal favorite for any form of cosplay is Warhammer 40k cosplay. While I grasp none of the stuff such people make is very "Do it yourself" friendly like this is - it always blows me away that people can nearly copy the look from space marines.

That was so awesome. I really like watching the fabrication, never seen cardboard like that. I've seen the guy who makes Mjollnir armour and the chain smoking guy that made a Garrus mask & suit. This was no less cool, everybody uses software because it's really fucking helpful. Everything does take a lot of effort, you know cosplay, PR: fliers, banners, signs, posters and comic, serious fan fiction. It's so worth it. I love this video and it was so fun. Thank you.

I know some people are vocal about the Robocop reboot being crap based on trailers, but after seeing the movie I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. It was a very well done movie that was it's own thing while at the same time paid quite a bit of homage to the original. They even use the original's theme music. The movie touches on a lot of very relevant topics in this modern era of technology, war, politics and media even though they may not have a very cerebral conclusion to those issues, some of them strike up poignant thoughts. Especially the scene where they show Murphy what parts of him are "human". Definitely worth checking out.

Great video, guys. "The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary." The family that Cosplays together, stays together. Great lesson for the kids at the end - Work. Learn on the fly. Adjust. Persevere. I thought Robot would be a bigger help with the Computer graphics... Shoulder pads - is there anything hockey can't help us with, T-Bone? I've seen stuff like this done before, if not with cardboard (cardstock and pepekura is popular as well) then with the foam mats that are then fiberglassed or bondo'ed. I'm curious as to how you guys did the actual graphics... What made you decide to photoshop and then print out each layer, rather than painting directly on the cardboard? Obviously it came out great anyways, but it seems like way more work that way.
