@@tojatak6222 Probably because while Take-Two owns the IP nowadays, they would still have to give royalties to Remedy if they do a remaster. Remedy themself is probably not allowed to do it themsel either. Take-Two is greedy is hell, so they probably rather shit out another craptastic game like MP3 instead because they think that will make them more money.

I don’t think the excellence of Max payne nor the impact it had on the industry as a whole could be explained to anyone who didn’t experience this game new at that time. The graphics, the gameplay the setting the story and the grittiness was so next level at that time. Personally, I throughly enjoyed the entire trilogy.

Yeah, it is. I think more fantastical enemy types were common in games at that time. This enemy looks like something straight out of Quake. They obviously opted for a more realistic direction later down the road, which most definitely was the right choice. Seeing such hulking enemies would've seemed goofy and out of place in the final product.

I feel a lot of affection for this video. It’s a real window into how the video game industry was in 2001 before it became such a huge conglomerate. A handful of dudes who are close friends sharing a vision, and working together and having lots of fun and laughing. You rarely see this behind video game production now. It’s so sterile and cold-just imagine an Ubisoft warehouse filled with people sitting at computers silently crunching out a product to meet a deadline. There’s little love or affection. I firmly believe that a work of art produced with lots of love and affection will be transferred into the art itself, and into the consumer.
