Wow, congrats! It honestly starts with understand light modifiers. Know what each produces to achieve best results. Start with lighting your subject one light at a time and turn off the other light if you are not sure what the 2nd or 3rd light is doing. If you dont have 3 strobes yet, I would recomend GODOX they are really cheap and very good quality. Good luck!

That's so exciting, congrats! There's nothing better than having your own space to experiment with studio lighting! Good luck, it's not as scary as it seems! 😀

@@KayleighJune What are you using for the backdrop? Is that a cut muslin sheet clamped onto the background poles?

Cool video! Would love to hear why you decided each backdrop color with each model.

Thanks Eddie! The background choice is usually dependent on the model's features and makeup. I really wanted to experiment with some natural skincare shots using pastel colours like blue and pink because I really think it can help lift an image or add interest! (Up until now I'd been using a lot of cream/neutral backdrops.) I also experimented using brightly coloured ones for creative makeup shots, a lot of the time I'll look at the colour wheel and choose the opposite colour to the makeup for a backdrop. 🙂

Hello Kayleigh, first of all i just wanna say i am a huge fan of your channel.I want to ask you a question. I am planning in the future to open a youtube channel but i'm a bit camera shy and a bit overweight 220 lb to be exact, what is your opinion on this ? Does the content mean more then our personal image in front of the camera/audience or are they equally just as important ? Thank you so much ! Any advice from other subscribers is truly welcomed
