True goat of lightpaintings! Love this Gopro view so you can actually see where you hold light and how you move, also from mumbling you can hear what you might think you want to achieve with that pass! Keep doing these, great work!

Great idea with the GoPro. Please more of it. Its so helpfull to see how you moving the light. The only thing i didn't understand is: Why is the light in the 4 Image so thin and Sharp, because your rotate the ice light?

awesome car, awesome capture, awesome first person view of the shooting itself - think you should do some Q&A sessions for those of us who do light paint and those who want to get into it also maybe do a CC session where you feedback on others work? love to hear other peoples thought on my work betting few others do too

Great topic - light-painting cars is very near and dear to my heart as you may remember! A couple of comments and things making me wonder... 1) Lord... just to have KNEES again! I couldn't produce a shoot like this without sounding like a cross of Gordon Ramsey and Godzilla as I kneel ! 2) If you shoot a properly exposed over-all image before it's dark, it can give you a little leeway to fill in spots if your light wand misses anything. 3) Do you (ever) try to wind up with a final image that gently produces light from a particular direction instead of "over-all" lit...? 4) How many image layers do you generally wind up using? (I'm routinely around 50-75, sometimes 150-200!) 5) I'm seriously going to buy you a WIRELESS remote !!! 6) (and lastly !) I must find more cars with leather belt buckles... Great to see your work as always!!!
@ShootingDave3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Curt! Glad you liked it. 1) haha that made me laugh. 2) true but prefer to control all light. 3) yeah I try to always have a single directional source. 4) typically I use 3-6 layers to keep it simple. 5) I should really shoot tethered to review images on a larger screen. 6) haha yeah it was a pretty nice touch. Thanks again man.

Hey Dave, did you black tape one side of your light stick ? I have an lc500r and as it's cylindrical and translucent all around it leaks light, super annoying getting unwanted light.
@ShootingDave3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I did and I put black card inside it too
@UnFourg3ttabl33 жыл бұрын
Thank you Dave, more of that. Are that shown pictures unedited? It would be nice if you keep the exif while you are doing the shoot shown. And how the Eff does the Icelight produce so much light that you can do 8 seconds and the picture is fully lit?
@ShootingDave3 жыл бұрын
Hey man, the exposures I showed were all unedited 😊 I use the same settings for all them, I did change the shutter speed from 8-10 seconds. Haha it isn’t an Icelight, that’s how it produces so much light 🤣
