What was said about Grindelwald vs Voldemort is what needed to be said. It is very true. A lot of people think Voldemort was the darkest wizard, but he only was at the time. Grindelwald is like Tom Riddle. Both are cunning, sophisticated, and make others think they're innocent and trustworthy. Voldemort turns into a lunatic. He has nothing on Grindelwald.

I loved the movie! Much more complex than the first one (as JK Rowling said). The plot and back stories get much more intricate and interesting. My favourite character is Leta Lestrange. I love her back story and her friendship with Newt; which we could see more of that. Grindelwald is much more believable as a villain indeed, because you can understand his perspective and motive, for what he does and plans. Great performance from Depp, and in general from all the cast. You will love this film potterheads!!!!

He has never EVER watched himself in a movie because he can't bear it! I think he got a little way through the first Pirates of the Caribbean premiere and walked out XD such a shame

@@Workbenchtv Yeah, it is indeed for digital set extension. But this is normally done with green screens. In other shots (not this behind the scenes) you can see many extras in front of the greyscreens. So it's used in the same way as normally greenscreens would be used.

JK Rowling is truly a master story teller whose strengthening her craft with every story she tells. And I am glad to live in this age where the master story teller, who will continue to be an inspiration for ages to come, is living and telling her stories for our entertainment. To see her set the stage, develop her characters, develop the conflicts and unfold the narrative in the fashion she has done these last couple of decades since the first Harry Potter book in 1997 is just mind blowing. I dont watch for any one character in the HP and FB series, rather i watch to see where she's going to take us in this adventure we're sharing with her. And what a journey it's been these last 20 years! Tqvm Jo!

I saw the movie yesterday and I can`t wait to see part 3! With part 2 they managed the extraordinary thing to create a worthy continuation that was even better than part one, something that is rather rare in the movie business. But I suppose it´s also because J.K.Rowling still works on the screenplay and evaluates the story. I`m really glad she does, because I got so excited about the plot!!! :-)

Which would traditionally be green for keying work. I’m guessing since green screens are rarely shot correctly to be useful and VFX artists have to do roto anyways, they probably just switched to gray backgrounds to avoid color spill from the green screen and to have a good sample of diffuse color.

@@DavidConant Yeah, that would be green traditionally. But as you said, it could be a spill issue. The ground is also wet which would compound that. It might also not need keying. We're also not seeing down the actual shot, so there could be green in the camera's view further away behind the actors with the grey just visible above the buildings. Anyway, hard to say in this case without being there. :)

I totally agree with David Yates, Grindelwald was much more dangerous than Voldemort. Tom Riddle had some hope to become like this, but we all know how it ends. Harry Potter, for all his drama about being the Chosen One and facing Voldemort, should be thankful that Grindelwald wasn't his opponent.
