I alway thought they filmed this in front of a live audience so I guess the laughing was basically from the crew members.

They did film it in front of a live audience. I went to 3 tapings of the show. But some scenes of each episode we went to were usually pre-taped before the tapings and they would show us what was pre-taped on the tv screens above the audience seating and then they would tape the rest of the show live in front of us. Then afterwards everyone would go down to Roscoe's Chicken and waffles which was at the corner from the studio. It was alot of fun actually

They were laughing to know when to add it. They add the audience noise to give it that feel. Usually the show will tell you if it was shot in front of a live audience.

Moesha was filmed in front of a live audience. As I attended 3 tapings of it throughout the series. They do pre-tape some scenes in each episode from time to time but 80 % of the show at least is usually filmed in front of the studio audience. The scene on this video was most likely a pre-taped scene they were doing or a technical rehearsal which they would do the day before taping or the morning of the taping to work out everything and get the camera blocking right
