Congratulations, ladies! What a beautiful day for a lovely couple :) My husband Ben and I took the DIY approach, aiming for everything to be as simple, fuss-free, and relaxed as possible. I've never enjoyed sit-down wedding receptions, so we had a very casual 'stand up' affair... There were plenty of sofas and chairs to sit and eat and chat, of course, but no designated seating. We had grazing tables, a barista, an open bar...there were three choices for the main meal, served in takeaway noodle boxes, and a dessert table afterwards. The food was amazing. My favourite pre-wedding memories are making my veil with my Mum, shopping for flowers at the public flower markets on a quiet, cool morning, and arranging the bouquets the night before the wedding. I guess I fell in love with bridal flowers that night, and have been doing them as a wedding gift for family and friends ever since.
