I have pretty much settled on ordering the AltMill but have been putting off my order until I can figure out where to fit it in my small, crowded garage. I would order this smaller size right away if you decide to make it available. I would also love to see an upgrade path if you decide to offer multiple sizes.

I love the smALT MILL! To me the 48” width is the most important. The length can be tiled if need be. We will talk about it on my show on Saturday night

Due to my small garage shop, it would be a great size. A little cheaper I assume, but probably not a whole lot. Either this or being able to do a 4x4 to tilt up for storage securely would help.

I’ve been researching CNC routers in this class and really wanting a 2x4 machine. I love the Altmill for all its features but the 4x4 is a bit big for my shop but a 2x4 would be bought today.

I like the idea of a smaller ALTmill. That would definitely fit my small shop better. Maybe it could be extended if future requirements dictate the need for that?

That would fit in my small shop space a lot better than the full sized Altmill and I'm sure a lot of other people would like the size. As far as pass through cutting a larger project now and then you would have the larger capacity of the machine available and that adds to the versatility of that size. Another great thing about this bed size is that the largest size Vortex will fit it without any modifications. I'd love to try one out for you, and if you want a shipping address just ask me for it. I'll provide an honest assessment of the machine and share a few projects as demo projects.

Yes, please. I have a lead1010 that I've home brew modified to be taller, support rotary, support laser. Now, I'm thinking smaller & more rigid. Looking for more mechanical consistency before I start tricking a machine out again.

Ben, if you are looking for something to tinker with, build me a 4' X 8' Altmill. Have my eyes on an Avid but would order an Altmill in a second if you offered a 4 X 8. Build it!

@@karvecutcnc5497 yup, the price is good but for the panels I make I need 6 feet in the Y axis. 2 x 6 would work for me, 4 x 6 is better. 4 x 8 would handle a full sheet of MDF. 10G price is good. Build it!
