Why are there so many negative comments about NYC? You do realize that Manhattan is not the only borough, right? As a Queens native I love it. Queens is the most diverse county in the world. The food around NYC is fantastic. Nothing like going to Korean BBQ or having fantastic pizza. Everything is easy to get to as well. You don't have to drive a million hours a week to get to a supermarket or store. I'm not crazy about Manhattan either. But there is 4 other borough's you know. Some people might be rude. But there are nice people here too. The people talking crap probably have never been here. Or they live in the middle of bumblefuck. Obviously tourists everywhere in the world disagree with you. New York is one of the most desired places to be. Our real estate market is crazy strong. Homes have skyrocketed in value in the past 40 years. Our 90K house is now worth almost 700K in a 35 year period. Case in point, I'd rather be somewhere where there is so many things to do than to be in the middle of nowhere.
@oceanwaves833 жыл бұрын
I'm from the south. Spent 90 days in Staten driving to Brooklyn daily for work. Visited Queens, Manhattan, and Hoboken too. Manhattan is just the quintessential borough to outsiders due to Wall Street, WTC/Freedom Tower, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty (which I realize is technically in Jersey), etc. People are socially distant there (not physically distant obviously, which is what "social distancing" has come to mean since 2020). It feels like everyone is just a number. People keep their head down and ignore each other. At times it seems zombie-like. Certain Parts of Queens, Hoboken, and Staten were a lot better.
