Labyrinth is a 1986 musical fantasy film directed by Jim Henson with George Lucas as executive producer.
Jennifer Connelly plays 16 year old Sarah, a girl who must navigate the confusing Labyrinth in order to find her infant brother, Toby, who was stolen by The Goblin king, Jareth (David Bowie).
This whimsical and fun '80s film has creatures designed by Jim Henson, with conceptual designs by Brian Froud.
I highly recommend this movie, not only because it's a great fantasy film with some awesome practical effects, but because we have songs sung by David Bowie.

I’m 22 and I LOVE this movie! My parents actually bought a copy of this movie when I turned 16 in 2016 for my 16th Birthday and ever since then this is my favorite movie of all time! The ballroom hallucination scene is my favorite part!

I was roughly 4-5years old when my extremely eccentric grandmother introduced me to this film….let’s say I warped that VHS tape by watching it over and over. Plus that’s when I fell in love with David Bowie..1st crush ever AND fast forward to when I was 19yrs old, I actually had the pleasure of seeing him in concert AND going back stage to meet him back in 2000ish. RIP David Bowie. 😢

I’m 20 and I grew up listening to 80-90s music and watched 80-90s films (influenced from my parents). As a kid I watched Labyrinth but didn’t think much about it, then a few years ago I rewatched it now that I’m older and fell in love with it. I cant quite explain it but I’ve never been this obsessed with a film, especially David Bowie as Jareth, I especially love how the film is like a music video compilation and I rewatched Magic Dance, As The World Falls Down and Within You so many times to the point whereby I memorised the lyrics. Even from a technical/ visual standpoint this film is so impressive for a 1980s film and really creatively executed. The staircase scene/ Within You is still very impressive to me till this day. The production design is beautifully done. Also I can’t think of anyone suitable to play the role of Jareth, it’s like as though Bowie was born to play the character. Man, Bowie is one charming and beautifully talented man..was heartbroken when I found out he passed away. Rip to this legend

I remember watching this as a young child, screamed when they first showed the goblins 😂 But it was scary for a kid 😉 Me, anyway! But you're right; it's beautifully done and Bowie became the Goblin King for me. Whenever I see him, first thing I think of is Jareth 😊

I randomly discovered this movie and started seeing clips of it on KZbin. Then, after a Willy Wonka movie marathon with my sister that ended around 3 am, I groggily told my sister about this strange movie I found about David Bowie and some weird maze. We decided to watch it, and it was so good we watched it again a few days later. Now it's one of my all time favorites!

David Bowie was absolutely mesmerizing in this movie. And Jennifer Conley was lovely. The muppets,to be honest, to me, were a little creepy. However, the comment I came here to make is in the hopes that some producer should see this, and if they ever have the notion to do a remake of this film I would hope that the vocalist Dimash Kudaibergen would be considered to play the part of the Goblin King, Jareth. No one could ever do it as well as Bowie but I think Dimash has the acting chops, the stage presence, the good looks, the fluidity of movement and his vocals and singing is….words fail, there are not adequate adjectives to describe his singing ability. I think he would be spectacularly spectacular. IMHO 😊

This movie is a pure masterpeice and I don’t find the puppets to be scarey I think it is so well done and such good quality! Never a remake! I love the actors and I LOVE Bowie and nobody could replace him! And it doesn’t need a remake because it’s already perfect and done and I don’t want it to be ruined! DANCE MAGIC DANCE

I'm not sure who that particular baby was, but the baby in the film was played by Toby Froud, the son of artist Brian Froud. Brian's art was the inspiration for the appearance of the creatures. From what I've read, other actor babies were scared of the puppets so they chose Toby, he wasn't scared of the Labyrinth world 😊
